GSMArena, why do you guys have put the "improvements" in bold? Is this somehow sponsored? Checking, say, the Note9 announcement news, there is no such emphasis.

I don't know what part of the world are you from or how things go there, but if you order it directly there, you could be paying for shipping/handling fees and/or reseller profit. They don't do this for charity, after all. Also, it's tax inclusive in Chinese. As I say before, I don't know what and how things work in your country.

If that were the case or idea, I'm better off getting a hyper-thick phone with a behemoth battery like the Ulefone Armor 3 or Blackview BV9500 Pro with 10,000 mAH batteries.

Professional, 20 Feb 2019The phones are splash proof wich is more than enough! Not enough without IP rating.

Also audio could be better. Even poco has stereo speakers come on xiaomi.

But other than that this is probably the flagship for the price this year. (until poco 2 at least)

After years of using Samsung phones I got fed up and switched to Huawei last year with the Mate 10 Pro and I'm very satisfied with it up to now although I must admit that Samsung has the best Screens.
I'd love to try this Xiaomi Mi9 this year or next year (depending on how much the price decreases till the end of the year).
Anyone knows if this phone has a headphone jack or a Micro SD card slot please?

let me do the math for you guys

                          mi 9 6/128 + wireless 10.000mahpowerbank + quick wireless charger + car wireless charger total to about usd 450 + 22 + 15 + 25 = usd 512 add 10-20% reseller usd 560-600.

Still lower than any sd855 powered device made other top 5 brands.

except it will not be 450$ but 520$ because you know know resellers will up the price OR as always reported prices are fake and just PR

I should easily find 1 hour here and there. In fact if you add the new wireless powerbank xiaomi just released, total price would still be lower than any samsung or huawei sd855 equivalent devices. Better yet, add another high speed wireless charger and total would still be lower.

All these rants on this phone's drawbacks are from people who probably have budget for a $1000 flagship phone. I don't know why is there a need for them to comment here.

Nice phone but sadly I can't stand oled due to PWM/flickering. I get major headaches and nauseau. I wish amoled could exist without it.

No microSD slot (not even a chance for nano-memory card expansion), no headphone jack, and a low battery...actually very low battery...ugh.

I hate when they use faster-charging as an excuse to use a short-lasting battery on their flagships. OnePlus figured it out, Samsung figured it out, Huawei's always had it but Xiaomi...freakin' Xiaomi lags behind...

Who cares about all these features if you have to charge it like twice a day?
