When it is called: the flagship/TOP phone of the brand, no matter what the brand is, it should have a signature design although a signature design may not be liked by everyone.

For example: iPhone 6 had its own signature design that made it famous although the design, particularly the rear design was ugly or at least not liked by everyone.

So, it is not about the brand or the logo which may make them visible.

Anonymous, 20 Feb 2019Have you forget 3.5 mm headphone jack ???Most flagship phones don't come with a headphone jack.
      Hardly a con these days

Samsung and Apple flagships, in that sense, look even more bland than this. It's just that logo that makes people like you believe that it is better. After all, it's twice as expensive, it has to be better, right? FYI, it's NOT!

Judoya Gugumeze, 20 Feb 2019The battery isn’t ok , I expected 4000mah or more They sure tested it with a thicker battery, but they have chosen for safety because of rapid wireless charger and less weight! The MI9 will be on par with other flagships for screen on time achievements!

Almost interested, but missing 3,5 mm jack and FM radio. Why manufacturers remove these good working parts? And of course, OLED, sorry again, no, I don't like white ghosts on display after one year...

does camera have optical image stabilization?

3300 Battery??!!! Seriously Xiaomi? Is this 2017?! You have already done good in your mid rangers. Why cant u translate that to your flagships. Is this Widevine L1 certified? Please dont plague this with bugs too. I just cant stomach it when you release a so called "flagship" with tons of bug. I love your midrangers, but your flagships are just not worth the price. That's why Oneplus is beating Xiaomi in the $500 category. Better wait for the POCO F2 or Redmi Note 7 Pro. This will surely fail in India because of its very small battery. We Indian consumers just want top notch specs at a very affordable price. Is that really hard to understand Xiaomi? Long-time Xiaomi user here.

No. People always look thing (i.e. Mi9) at the first sight and in my opinion, there is no signature design of Mi9 that can make it different from any mid-range phone.

Just remind you, Mi8 has the same problem althogh Mi 8 was bit better as it duplicate a flagship phone (i.e. iPhone X)
