What I mean "mid-range phone" is the exterior design, not the hardware, the specs, the features and the technology. Mi8 had the superior hardware too, but thr design was a duplicate of iPhone X and most people shout booo......So, sorry if you mean the hardware.

I applaud Xiaomi for bypassing the IP rating so that more effort and resources can be placed where it really matters. Xiaomi Mi9 is specifically designed for those buyers who take good care of their smartphones. Please keep this important tradition which makes Xiaomi a great company it already is and greater company for years to come.

honestly my next phone is totally gonna be xiaomi after my iPhone X breaks (which god knows what will everything be like by then)
but they have such an amazing prices. my xiaomi a5 still gets software updates (it's a 60$ phone so It's not great but I mean it's freaking 80$. my only issue with it is the slow loading times and performance which is honestly great for just 80$)
