Redmi Note 7 fails spectacularly at an actual durability test

27 February 2019
The phone has plenty of weak build points, despite what some Chinese influencers suggested earlier.

If you use good case and don't put it in your rear pocket it will be ok.

NipponFan, 28 Feb 2019What do you expect from a cheap copy of a phone? a copy of what exactly ?

Although I usually watch this guy's "tests", if I think about it I don't really see why they are of any importance. He is nit testing, whether the devices have flaws or what things should we be aware of. I mean the most probable thing that could happen to your phone is dropping it. Even that is quite rare if you just care about your phone the slightest.

What Jerry is doing is just straight out trying to destroy the phone in impossible situations. Come on, in what circumstances would you burn your phone?

Every phone bends more or less. It is normal. But, Xiaomi touted Note7 as a pretty sturdy device by breaking walnuts with it. But this video reveals that Note7 is far from being sturdy. Of course, expecting a sturdy device in this price range is a bit unrealistic but jerryrigeverything tested dozens of devices that didn't bend.

Those videos done by Xiaomi is probably to hide the fact that the phone isn't that great when it comes to structural durability. Remember when the Mi 4i was introduced with a so-called 2nd-generation SD615 chipset that promises overheating wouldn't happen again, yeap, it stills overheats and went on to become one of their most notorious device (and still stuck on Andoid L until today)

'Actual', people don't actually bend and fire their phone.

                                  personally I like it thicker

I believes Redmi Note 7 Pro (not launch yet but will in very near future) will have a same durability issue. If U want to use those phone for a long period than U need to use strong and hard casing or otherwise U know what will happen when it bend without strong casing.

To all the deniers that kept saying "we'll wait for Zack to test it", despite all the massive evidence that this phone was failing the bend test, I just have to say: TOLD YOU SO.

Of course, being professionals at gymnastics like you are, I'm already seeing all sorts of bends (not from the phone) but from the arguments underplaying the test that just a few weeks ago was the "be all, end all".
