Well deserved, by far the flagship with the best battery life, best camera, best charging and great all-round device in general, a Swiss Army Knife of a device really.

Thoroughly enjoying my Mate 20 Pro :)

I see the haters have arrived already, grasping at straws for their favourite OEMs who didn't win, awwww. :)

"Google's Night Sight most disruptive tech". You must be kidding me. Night mode from Mate 20 Pro is waaaay better than Google's one. Google's mode is brighter, but with too much noise.

"Google's Night Sight most disruptive tech"
...Even though Huawei was the one who invented it with the P20??
                  That's an odd one.

Anyway, congrats to Huawei. Proud of the growth it's been showing as of late.

I mostly ignore comments from Shui8 and WhackCar. Both of them are too biased to take them seriously.
Mate 20 Pro was one of the best phones last year, no doubt about it.
Why did Google get awarded for a tech that it borrowed from others?

                      Comgratulations to Huawei and Google

I've tested N9 and M20p, and I must say that is in overal score N9 better. S20p has better camera, and better connection with TV, but that is all. In every other category, N9 is better.

The 3.5mm jack i... morebluetooth headphones sounds just as good as regular 3.5mm headphones, but you have to charge them in order to use them. once you use up the battery you cant use them anymore because you have to charge them, and wait and wait... th 3.5mm is always there when you need it. it cannot go away completely because it is a great, super option for headphones. and mobile phones are all about options for the user (unless you have an iphone), so the headphone jack is a must.

And there's no good reason to axe the headphone jack. There's enough room. Bluetooth isn't as good as wired yet. The port is inexpensive. The port is seen on device as thin as 5mm.

What I'll do? Buy the last good device with a headphone jack and keep it. I'll repair it when required.

My current phone will be 2 years old by the end of the year. This will very likely be on my list, hopefully there will be significant price cut.

This year it may be mateX.

AnonD-558092, 27 Feb 2019No, it's just as boring. And I can't trust "reviewers" on Y... moreI'd address the last part of your comment. The 3.5mm jack is on it's way out. Samsung will also get rid of it sooner or later, followed by anyone who's left (LG, etc). What are you gonna do then? Stop buying phones?

As for the wide notch, it houses a IR face scanner. P30 Pro will have a waterdrop notch instead, and thus no IR scanner. The wide notch was well justified for the Mate 20 Pro.
