Just made the switch to Samsung, but in a two years or so, the P30 Pro will probably be a killer choice.
I would have gone to the P20 Pro since it's not so expensive now, but that old comms chip was too big of a compromise. Why get rid of the headphone jack when you don't even put Bluetooth 5 in your phone? Happy that they're fixing that post-P20s.

Chee Khuan, 27 Feb 2019Do you have any solid evidence that HUAWEI has close ties w... moreWell, if you live in China, your information sources are heavily censored and VPN use is banned. Perhaps this is fine for some, but it's certainly not fine for most in the West.
This is from Forbes: "Bloomberg broke a story regarding a California-based company called Supermicro, where Chinese subcontractors have been stealthily installing back doors in mother boards for advanced hardware systems for years. It’s a sobering warning of what can happen if China’s telecom giants, who operate at the behest of the Chinese military-intelligence-complex, dominate the future of 5G."
Before Chinese electronics are accepted by the world, China must learn to play by the rules of the world. Virtually all Western intelligence agencies have voiced concerns with Huawei's ties to the Communist Party, so given a choice, nobody should buy their products.

I honestly can already tell that they're goin... moreNokia 9 allready claimed the title of best camera phone of 2019 at least if you want professional looking photos (shadow detail by taking in 10*more light and in 5 different lenses, correct colours, DLSR like bokeh effect in 1200 planes and so on). For pro's its the only choice but it works equally well for normal users that dont want to use pro mode on the camera or lightroom to edit RAW photos directly on their phone. the

Huawei P30 pro the most flexible camera cellphone that can shoot in any situation, huawei innovation is really fast, with every release they put some new crazy features but I really really hope that they fix and improve their selfi camera and 4K video recording, polish and improve old features like slow mo reverse wireless charging, finally the most important thing they need huge improvements and changes in software department

I strongly feel like those are taken by the regular P30 and not the Pro, since the image resolution is exactly the same as Mate 20 Pro, which indicates that it uses the same sensor as Mate. If the rumour is true P30 Pro will have a 38MP sensor, so the resolution should be tad lower by default settings, at 9.5MP as opposed to 10MP of P30 or Mate.
Also the image quality is pretty bad and I'm quite sure the software used is not the final version.

Huawei makes decent phones, but why would anyone buy one, with all the issues surrounding its close ties with the Chinese government and military?
Plenty of other options, many of them as good or better.

Nice zoom range. The photos look a little like watercolours though. Maybe the processing needs to be timed down.
I am surprised the camera doesn't have the promised IMX607 sensor with its superb low light and sharpness. I was hoping Huawei gets a new sensor.

Quality looks so bad when compared to Nokia 9. On the other hand, huawei's solution might be more flexible.
