it looks like LG's recent announcement about ICS update really slaps Samsung's face hard.
let's hope that Samsung (and LG) will keep the promise and won't let us down...

Honestly, Samsung should have more respect for the customers who bought the super expensive Galaxy and S-ICS upgrade to 4.0 even if it is without the TouchWiz, with pure software. After all, the black LG that in almost the same hardware will be upgraded, the Sony Ericsson Arc, which has a single core processor 1.0Ghz and 512 RAM will also be, and the main one, the Nexus-S which is practically the same hardware Galaxy-S will also be updated, then because the Galaxy-S will not be updated, come on Samsung world, at least more so for this update and future updates. Now if by chance is updated, to keep up to support the latest version of ICS, or ICS until the 4.0.9 version if there is to it, to get all the bug fixes and performance possible!.

Nokia Belle on N8 is stil... moreSounds like a silly fight overall. Nokia has announced that Belle will come for the older models in February.
In relation to Nokia, the funny bit is about the N9. It's been dragged through hell because Nokia will only provide support for it up to 2015(or was it 2016?), i.e. its lifespan. Now Samsung is dropping the support for two of its device after one being 1½ on the market and other is only a year old.
This is shameful really. No other way around it.

Obviously they do own SGS-L, no doubt. My point was that samsung is not talking about SGS-L here, but SGS. And this means that SGS was their flagship device which was sold in millions, not SGS-L. So users of SGS-L have no reason to be considered more or equal about the update by samsung, whatsoever. Is this that hard to understand?

I mean, SGS with symbian was funny, but I couldnt hold myself, when he talked about a Symbian tablet beating the iPad^^
Really now, the big difference between Symbian and all other big OSs is, that Symbian is still a OS for feature phones, which has some Smartphone capabilities, but not the real smartphone feeling, thats what symbian lacks and why it goes down, all other OSs are more like a nice computer now.

Nokia is in a position like HTC, Sony and Sammy, when it comes to updates, not like the iPhone or the Googlephones, so why tell your nonsense around? Wp7 has 1,4% market share... would be even worse, if they dont even deliver updates.
Anyway, people are foolish with their update thinking, I bet, most peole would be happy already, if the Number unter the Firmwareinfo got up and nothing changed. Updates are required to change something, but if something has all really needed features, whats the point of an update? I see, for the company it would be not crying customers.

Haters gonna hate.
When was the GS1 released? and how about other models that released during that days.
I never heard Xperia X10 is getting ICS update.
I never heard Desire, even Desire HD is getting ICS.
(Don't talk about ROMs, because GS1 has hips as well)
Thanks in advance Samsung, as a owner of GS1, I honestly didn't expect this from you guys, but yet again you prove why you are the 1# in the world.
