optical sensors do not work with dirty fingers, wet fingers .. and you guys say UV sensor do not work when screen is cracked. .. hmmm .. which case is more likely to happen ??????? lol

It's all the openings and buttons on the sides of the phone that need to be waterproofed. Common sense is rare these days... And the person who said about buttons easily popping out? Do you casually scratch the buttons of your phone with a knife on daily basis? (facepalm)

You can use it either way (tap or hold). It works fine. Not as fast as traditional fingerprint sensors, but fast enough.

                      Personally, i don't like UD fingerprint sensors of any kind (optical or ultrasonic). They're not as fast or as accurate as the always-active button-embedded ones. The placement on the back panel of the phone also used to be more convenient to reach, as your finger is always resting there anyway (that is while you're holding the phone).

                      Unfortunately, things have to keep changing just for the sake of changing even if it's not really progressive. That also applies to the weird tall aspect ratios of displays on modern phones that are useless for most types of multimedia usage case scenarios...

                        So the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner is complete crap and that easy to pop up buttons WTF samsung.
                        This device have to be worth 1000 bucks but with this cons its device worth up to 200.
                        Since S5 which was last great samsung from S linne all S phones after this one got worse and worse.
                        But from a brainless company we cant expect anything good.

                            all the non-paid samsung youtubers are saying the ultrasonic fingerprint is slow and unreliable and this only prove it. the paid samsung youtubers are saying that those that say the fp is slow, is because "you re are touching it wrong" , that s crApple and now shamesung bullsh¡t !! LOL
