Walter C. Dornez, 02 Mar 2019An ultrasonic fps being obsolete? Buddy, what?Does not work when its broken.
Any normal scanner will works this is just stupid.
Also does not work when covered by screen protector unless you have a hole in it which is complete ugly.
Wake up man.

It's not really a 'durability' test, the only relevant 'durability' test method there is the bend test which really depends on how much you believe Zack is trying and how good breakfast he had... All those burn tests and scratch tests are a meme, I mean when was the last time he tested a phone which didn't have 'small scratches at level 6 and deeper ones at level 7"?

Most of the scratch tests you can do yourself by checking the phone's materials. Back is built with glass = it won't scratch (because all modern phones use gorilla glass), it's built with metal/plastic = it will scratch, simple as that.

The summary of video: you can rather spend 1000 bucks for the tickets to Hawaii and put the new theme on youe old galaxy :p

                      How aptly said!

It had best look among all S line phones.
Since Samsung developed and used curved screen all S phones are ridiculously fragike resistant to a proper screen protector and the fingerprint scanner on S10 is complete obsolette.

Anonymous, 02 Mar 2019That curve screen is for aesthetic, there's nothing to be g... moreAesthetics.... in short Gimmicks with a politically correct term to avoid offending the snowflakes that get offended by anything. That curved screen is just a pain in the a$$ to get screen protectors on, and TG ones are rare.

On the other hand, rounded corners on phones are not gimmicks, it's called ERGONOMICS. Nobody wants a phone with sharp, pointed corners that could cause scratches or lacerations to your skin.

So, not only will the UD FP sensor on the S10 not work with almost all TG Screen Protectors, it'll also not work if the display get cracked. I guess the S10e would still be the best buy of the S10 series. Only 1 less camera than the regular S10 (Telephoto isn't really that useful anyway, especially at night where the camera would just digitally zoom using the main sensor instead of using the telephoto lens) and has a capacitive FP sensor on the side that'll work even if the screen gets cracked (screen less prone to cracks since it doesn't have that gimmicky curved screen), not to mention cheaper and you get most of the features of the regular S10 and S10+.

dude111, 02 Mar 2019lolz The S5 had the worst FP reader by far.I have to agree that the swipe FPs of the S5 / Note 4 sucks (still using a Note 4 btw). However, my friends who had S5 encountered serious issues of failing eventually, requiring you a total factory reset. Happily my Note 4 does not have all that.

The ultrasonic FP is a good sensor imho. They'll improve on it eventually.
