I think huawei should be treat fairly in the market and have a chance to compete whether they will be sending a spy or not it will be reveal sooner or later but ban them even before they enter the market is too much. This is not free trade it's monopoly.

Anonymous, 04 Mar 2019Then why china banned fb, Google and others?China did not ban Google, Facebook etc. Those company did not agree with China's censorship then leave (Google) or did not agree with local law (Facebook) and decided not entering China.
They need to follow local rule. Just like you make a rule at home for your guest.

These people calling the USA a hypocrite are very biased. Huawei is pretty much an extension of the Chinese government - they steal other companies IP and stifle competition and cripple, ban or limit other companies in China, yet these biased people don't seem to see that and all they do is criticize the USA.

The last Oracle, 04 Mar 2019The United States has been arm twisting other countries in ... moreThe US goal is to decimate and destroy the Chinese economy and scientific and technological progress because the US can no longer compete in the open market, having used its money for regime change wars rather than to further tech progress.
The west is not ready with 5G networks and China, where Huawei installs 5G will be at a large advantage. Hence the frantic efforts by the US to cut down and tear to shreds the Chinese economy. The real problem is that it cannot be done without decimating the US economy simultaneously.

The ONE positive note I can see from this is that I'm positive the courts will ask Huawei for proof that they don't provide backdoor information to the Chinese government. We can see now for sure if they do or ever have committed what could be espionage to the U.S. If they do, the US Intelligence wins and Huawei loses a good chunk of credibility. If they never have, then the US will have to restructure in providing solid evidence before imposing bans like this. I mean, they should be doing this anyway but this can get them into trouble.
Consumers win either way.
