Usually reviews on this site are pretty good, but this column cannot be called a review. It couldn't have been any shorter, doesn't provide any nuanced details, mentions that the author is using previous gen IconX but doesn't compare them in any aspect to the previous gen other than size of case (literally the least important aspect), gives opinion that is contrary to any other tech journalist opinion without exploring it further. This is a first-look-at or first imperssion article at best.

AnonD-762416, 11 Mar 2019There's no visually perceivable lag with modern bluetooth h... moreThere is no lag because it is compensated for in software. Try using headphones for gaming instead of listening to music or video and you will see a drastic difference - either headphones will stay in media mode and the lag will be huge (makes gaming with sound unbearable) or they will go into call mode and the quality will be garbage.

AnonD-762416, 11 Mar 2019There's no visually perceivable lag with modern bluetooth h... moreThere is actual perceivable lag for games where response time is important. It's fine for music though, which is what I use my wireless headphones for during my commute, but I never play DDR-style games with them because I'd consistently be off-beat with them.

Using it on LGv30 and the sound is really loud and bass is great. One of the best. On touch and hold touchpad set up, under the galaxy wearable app, set the right and left to volume down and volume up. Then tap and hold the right bud to bring the volume to the loudest.

Garret1976, 11 Mar 2019Get my buds in a few weeks. Can someone tell if the bud... moreNo, anymore. The AKG headphones from S8, S9 and S10 box are the same model and have dual drivers (10 cm for bass and 8 cm for mid and treble) and much better bass, treble, vocals and volume. Are way better than any lousy bluetooth in-ear headphones

Anonymous, 11 Mar 2019Why bother commenting if you did not read the review? It cl... moreFirst. You believe everything a reviewer says. Maybe he didn't like the sound because the lack of bass.
Second. It's not really a review about sound. It only said that it had no bass.
Third. I didn't ask the reviewers opinion but people who have the earbuds and have the akg earbuds.
Fourth. Some people complained about the sound quality of the akg earbuds but I've had many earbuds and earphones and the akg sound reasonable good. I don't like bass heavy earphones but a little more neutral and clarity.

AnonD-843592, 11 Mar 2019Thank you but could you give examples of which headphones f... moreThat's incorrect. Some headphones having Bluetooth 4.2 or above also have high latency. For instance: Sony WH-1000XM3. If you want no or very short delay/latency then either go for Plantronics Backbeat 2 Pro or something from Sennheiser like HD4.40/4.50BTNC.

I don't understand why they are even calling it a 'Review'. All they have done is talking about bass.
Bass is not the only thing that needs to be reviewed in a 'headset review'. There are mids and highs as well. Apart from that, clarity of the sound, durability and build quality, usability, battery life, price etc also needs to be covered.
It is like they have only tried to undermine the value of the GalaxyBuds (like they deliberately did for ultrasonic FP sensor). GSMARENA looks like they are biased when it comes to Samsung. Why I am saying it, well because I have concluded it after reading their reviews of Apple and Samsung.

Garret1976, 11 Mar 2019Get my buds in a few weeks. Can someone tell if the bud... moreWhy bother commenting if you did not read the review? It clearly states that these are not ideal for music, bass levels are 0, and battery life could have been better. If u want quality music just buy some real headphones or headset. For 130$ you could do way better!

Also, is it fine to be used even if the users of each earbud are like 6 feet away from each other? Will there be no drop/ latency?

tried it recently at a store for a good 1 hour, I even switched the eartips with Symbio tips, Sony tips, Spinfits and Comply memory foams.
Despite having the best possible seal in my ears (which generally all IEMs are very sensitive to), the bass was still LACKING and if you don't have natural bass, don't bother buying.
also call quality was.. shockingly bad, worse than my Airpods which was a huge surprise and let down.
