What's the big deal? Every manufacturer does this? None of the sample photos that are on any phone ever have been taken with the phone? Huawei are doing TEASERS. Little snippets of information to get people interested. That is called advertising. Just like movies put all the good clips edited into the trailer and just like game adverts say "not actual game footage". People need to calm down. In most phone advertising there's something in the small print on the screen that says "sequences sped up". It's all for show!

Here we go the anti Huawei brigade with there comments. Someone claims to have seen a picture before oh it must be true. Lol .Makes me laugh. Get a life. Fair play to Huawei not like any other mobile company hasn't don't it before.

As ad it's another level. So is commercial about P30 I seen just now in TV. Never seen the commercial about unreleased phone Here before.

Tony, 11 Mar 2019Nope, I am not the owner of Huawei(I wish I was LOL) I do ... more- this is not the first time they get caught using DSLR devices and pretend they used the phone's camera.
                      - they stopped the bootloader unlocking service, claiming people were not using it, when actually they didn't want the users to be able to root the phones and install other ROMs, hence not using their software.
                      - no 3.5mm jack
                      - NOtch!
                      - I'll give them credit only for the SD card slot

Personal opinion : I don't trust them. I won't be fooled by the colorful glossy look and tons of commercials.
I like Android for being open-source, for being able to root the phone and do whatever I want with it. They seem to adopt the restrictions of crapple in a way, which I consider to be a prison (software wise).

It's your choice what you buy or not.

Chinese company in false advertising shock!

                        ...said no-one ever.

What, 11 Mar 2019My friend keep quiet. It's cheating. Plain and simple. No it's not buddy. Not a logical response but nice try.

Naps, 11 Mar 2019Camera in all smartphones can't match the quality of DSLR c... moreThey can, but they don't do it, so they can keep selling DSLRs. Read the article why Sony didn't make good lenses and software for their smartphones. Though they now will do it, since they noticed competition develops their own lenses.

Why is everyone so obsessed with photos, and then buy a phone to make photos? If you want good photos, buy a proper camera (which is much cheaper than a premium phone). If you want to make calls, check your mails and have mediocre photos, or you're lazy to carry a camera, buy a phone. Just don't try to convince me that a $1000 phone camera is better than a $300 DSLR.

                                  Isn't false advertising illegal?
Why do phone manufacturers insist on using DSLR pictures to promote their phone? Expecting more sales?
That's the sort of thing i hate, false advertising, and huawei should be fined for this as many other brands.

I do not even own any of their products, although I gifted a Pro 20 last year.
Just trying to emphasize that, even enthusiasts(ie people visiting GSMArena) like to think with other's mind:
Calling them cheaters for a marketing shot?
It's the same as, if you see a picture of me and Kim Kardashian, calling me a cheater, because she's not my wife, but my intention was to look like it is :-)
