P20 pro was 900 so guess this increase isn't too bad. Normal P20 was 680 however, so the P30 has gotten quite a price increase

Too expensive! Honor could make the View 20 with a top specifications for 570 EUR so why Huawei couldn't?! Ok, P30 would have additional super wide camera and zoom camera, as well as Amoled display instead of IPS in View 20, but View 20 has ToF sensor, bigger battery, more ram and storage. So prices should be similar IMO.

And about the x10 zoom camera, its a periscope module, maybe its x5/x8 optical & x10 lossless (digital zoom). Eitherway, it still better than other competition, heck even older P20 & Mate 20 Pro offer x3 optical zoom & x5 hybrid (x3 optical + 40mp, better than normal digital zoom), still better than others that has x2 optical.
Now maybe its not wise upgrading P20 Pro to P30 Pro, unless your money grow on trees. But if one person has an older 2-3 years flagship device, thats a wise choice. Me myself change flagship phones every 2 years, means that i had to wait for the next Mate 40.
