And if it's only cause of being sponsored then pay them.
And the points are different because as explained they are from different eras of pointing system from them. As well as their pointing system sounds good in theory and helps in many cases but just fall short of real results sometimes. Though still also highlight some weaknesses.
It is a good camera. But could be a great one comparable to or better than the rest on more ways yet Sony let's themselves idle along.

Since when is an artifficial bokeh an actual spec for the camera? Why do phones even do this, it looks awful 99% time whatever phone you use. Taking points away because of lack of an Instagram filter?

Another sponsored review. I owned both of this phone and based on my own experience xz3 is much better than my xzp.. The only problem with this brand they dont put too much effort on advertising/ promoting their unit. Try to open some mobile phone reviews in you tube and Samsung and other mobile brand advertisements will greet you first. Get what i mean?... Wake up sony!

Its Sony what did you expect???? Nikon for 10k bucks???
Or cannon for 20k bucks???
Even theold Nokia 7560 from 2002 did a lot better photos

they purposely reviewed xz3 and not the xz2 premium because they knew 1 single camera cannot do as good as 2. I think they want attention from Sony for the bad review so sony will pay them to do good reviews for the next flagship. i mean, XZ3 is basically XZ2premium minus the monochrome camera. and all of my photographers friends preferred xz2p camera results on desktop to Samsung s9's camera and that was a blind test. some didn't like the over brightened photos, but low light photos and videos are way better than even the best huawei's low light video. And s9/note9/s10 all have the same primary cameras, while all the reviews for each of them are different.

https://www.dxomark.com/category/mobile-reviews/ - the bottom of the page has all newly scoring listed to be compared with. If not listed, then that device use an old score & they dont bother to update it as its an older device.

So compare that old & new score system is not legit. If Z5 recalculate again with new system, i bet its gonna be lower than 79 point for sure.

DXO was suppose to be independent, they lost their credibility for me. XZ3 has an insanely more amount of detail from my Z5 according to your tool here gsm boys..
There's something fishy going on.

Stop listening to DxO reviews, they are crap paid people wanting to distort real life testing Xperias. In my experience with over 20 Sony camera devices I know what I am talking about. XZ3 is a jewel in term of setting up camera. Superior mode needs a little improvement by an upgrade in stock camera app, but third party apps are amazing in this device. Fool people in their insolence want to be fooled and that is so sad!
