IMHO I thing HTC neet to get past the "more of the same" phase it's stuck in... They need new ideas and most of all, new designs... All HTC phones look the same...

do they really expecting me to buy more phones from them after that? no way, i'll be buying Apples' new phones!
      they just disappointed me.

I can't understand why they don't sell low and mid range smartphones. There are only few as Wildfire S. Most of people that I know have this kind of Samsung.

Htc, U were gr8 till desire Hd, Your sence UI is the BEST, but after that u didnt produce anything worthwhile. Rather u burned urself after sensation and then XE. Kindly come down to earth and rethink. Crap could not be sold even if it has an HTC logo on it, it will still suck just like ur latest smart phones. Kindly launch something close to S2 and i will be back with HTC.

P.S Nokia rising (and that is an if with wp) htc might be be squeezed. See the chart, all android's rise is symbians fall. And some nokia customers (mainly dissapointed software wise) might return if and when the software is top notch again

As mentioned in the article htc had super profits and it still has. In my opinion htc earned nokia's share in the market for wealthy "status" consumers wanting a high end smartphone that looks good (simple and classy) and feels good (heavy and sturdy) and less trendy (aka iphone). With sense UI and aluminum bodies htc managed exactly that, earning their place amond the competition. As for the prices, htc has always been expensive, (like a ferrari is-reasonable or not) this adding to the status of the brand.

kevin, 06 Jan 2012i had SAMSUNG GALAXY ACE AND HAVE GALAXY S2. still not sat... morethats true about samsung but u forgetting that all these new phones they are making are mid range and low range phones every one knows that the Galaxy s2 is the beast of samsung for HTC no one knows whats what. i mean i went to phones for you and i saw the desire HD marked same price as the Galaxy s2 i mean come on galaxy s2 best phone of 2011. and that design look nasty and they all look too damn similar and i know some people are gonna think i am crazy for this but i dont like sence on htc coz i feel like there is too much to it which can be good but for the majority of normal phone users like someone a bit older it can be a bit too much for them to understand best way if u check the notification on htc with sence 3.5 compare it to like s.e or samsung HTC one look way more complicated

HTC u need to learn & take opinions from customers like us..
1 - Plz get down on earth & fix up ur arrogance problem in price setup.. look at GS2 & note & learn.
2- make better low range smartphones.example-wildfire & all have memory problem which some people realize after buying & throw their phones.
3- Holy fishing shitttt with ur processors & screen !!
4- Sense is actually not as good as u think Dear people :) stock is much better.

Look at ur battery,, Can ur own employees run the phones for one full day enjoying it ?? NO !!!!!!

5 - A phone like Incredible S won't be getting ICS as the people bought are fool ? & later u launched Ryhm with lower specs & significantly higher price..how many Ryhms u people sold all around the world ?? must be around 10,right ?
try & understand the most important thing of the Smartphone market -- Smartphones Buyers change their phones in one year,so buyers are constant means u need a better service along with the product & pricing.

No wonder. HTC phones have very good build quality, accepted. But their camera quality and music quality are very poor. That makes their phones kinda overpriced, that's bad imo.

                              More wise words for HTC:
                              7. Your phone cameras. Yes, they need an improvement. You should change the sensors(which GSM Arena has more often than not faulty in their reviews)to more sophisticated ones(Sony, your help is required here) and polish the camera drivers and software to perfection.
                              8. Your batteries backup.Recently Engadget quoted one of your phones(guess the Rezound)as having the worst battery backup of any smartphone.Android,Sense UI, a Gig of RAM,4.3" 720p HD LCD display,1.5 Ghz duo core processor, Full HD video recording e.t.c looking upon a 1,620mAh battery,HTC Seriously? And no,this phone was not released on April 1st.

This is where HTC fails. If Samsung can keep their Android "unlocked"...why can't you?

This is what happens when people gets to know what Samsung has for them. Who in their right mind will buy a technologically inferior smartphones at the same price as my Galaxy S II? HTC will never recover. Samsung is already taking HTC's sales. They will crash down hard just like what Samsung did to Nokia. HTC will be out sold, out advertised, and out featured by Samsung's Galaxy S brand in 2012.
                                    HTC sucks just like Nokia.
