Anonymous, 05 Apr 2019Oh please, stop lying and confusing terms. Wifi direct can ... moreThe reason for this is because Apple wants to be exclusive and proprietary. iPads and iPhones DO NOT support the WiFi Alliannce standard (Wi-Fi direct) simply because Apple wants its own propriety file transfer and screen sharing standard which it likes to label with silly names for its fanatic users like 'Air drop' or 'Airplay' . Thus the need for accessories/dongles to do screen mirroring /Miracast (wifi direct based) to any smart tv brand which even the cheapest sub $100 Android phones can do but which no iPad/iPhone can do because, well Apple has its own standard because of GREED.

Anonymous, 04 Apr 2019Haha how pathetic. You had to reply twice just to make su... moreOh please, stop lying and confusing terms. Wifi direct can be used to share files and mirror screens.

Let me say it again in the clearest terms to help your limited mind comprehend:

The iPhone and iPad are INCAPABLE of wirelessly sharing its entire screen contents, INCAPABLE of MIRRORING its entire screen to modern smart tv's regardless of brand with out resorting to accessories/dongles.

The accessories/dongles include apple tv, chromecast, fire tv, roku, etc. that need to be attached first to the tv's hdmi port. Either tgose, or you have to use an android based device/phone to serve as intermediary, or you use wired/cabled connection.

Now there, accept that fact and stop making excuses for the absence of native MIRRORING for your iPhone and iPad because of Apple's GREED.

Anonymous, 04 Apr 2019Even though I was the guy originally debating its a replica... moreThank you!!!

I wasn't even going to bother.

There is no denying that the latest Huawei flagships have impressive cameras. Looking at reviews though the results are a bit disappointing. I was expecting a 4 camera setup with many times the amounts of pixels (and sensor size) to be significantly better than the 2 camera setup of an iphone.

I am super impressed with the resolved detail when you zoom in and the low light performance.
However, iPhones still do better daylight photos (same detail, much better dynamic range, colour reproduction and contrast), much better video, better portrait photos and better slow motion.

The situation with Huawei phone's copying iOS UI is bad though. I am a person who likes to have both android and iOS devices. Everytime I hold a Huawei phone I can't help but cringe with the copied UI elements. Especially the camera. It is exactly the same as the one used since iPhone 4!
It just makes me feel like I'm holding a chinese noname brand when it's not the case.
Same with the oneplus 5. I was embarrased holding it as I had an iPhone 7 plus (released months earlier) and they had the exact same back!!

I don't want an Apple-wannabe Huawei! I want a Huawei with its own character!
People familiar with iPhones will know how many things the chinese have copied as direct replicas on chinese brands. A quick google search will reveal a lot of examples.

You had to reply twice just to make sure u got it out of your system.

I don't think you understood anything I said and generally u are too busy using google translate to say what u need to say. U used the word obscenely about 100 times and missed pretty much the whole plot.

WifiDirect is the same as AirDrop! Not AirPlay!
It is not used to mirror screen!!!! Hahaha

And iOS has it since iphone 5S (using any wifi printers etc) and iOS is DLNA enabled too.

You obviously never managed to get out of your parents basement otherwise you would know that most devices have airplay now. Sony TVs, Samsung TVs, all android TVs etc. Apple TV is not necessary at all.
You would also know that a firestick is not a tablet but an Amazon TV dongle used. Google it first.
If you could use android to cast to ALL DEVICES IN THE WOOOORLD (dum dud duuuum) then why does google sell chromecast?! 😂

The HDMI cable mentioned was for old projectors (since we were talking about presentations) and it's dirt cheap.

Do you think anybody cares about how good an iPad is as a laptop replacement? It's a device you can use for media consumption, presentations, note taking, document viewing, emails and the occasional work tasks. It is by far the most advanced tablet whether you can afford it or not. Some people can. Android tablets are nothing compared to an ipad (air, mini, pro) and is a well known fact even by the biggest fanboys on youtube and forums. Even here.

Yes. I am very satisfied with your answer. It shows your level of knowledge, intelligence and maturity.

Anw. I have better things to do than to argue with a 12 year old.

You are hurt to acknowledge that your obscenely priced iPad Pro can never be a productivity device and worse, doesn't even support wifi direct, a wireless screen sharing standard which is ubiquitous in all of today's modern tv's and which your beloved iPhone or iPad doesn't even support because of Apple's greed, selling you instead an overpriced accessory (Apple TV). Either that or if you are too poor to buy an Apple tv, you use an android device as an intermediary to communicate with the tv's wireless screen share which your Apple device can't do natively. You have to resort to a wired /cabled connection to hide the shame. There, satisfied with my answer? :)

Reviewers used to like heavy metal and glass phones because it makes them feel more "premium", but now they like lightweight plastic phones!? Reviewers sound as if they are paid to like whatever phones manufacturers are currently producing! Samsung's horrible curved displays are a perfect example that reviewers like even though they are extremely bad, unwanted touches and annoying glare/reflections!

Most likely you. Go ahead justify the iPad Pro as a productivity device. Everybody knows 99.9% of iPad Pro owners use it for Facebook/Photos and Video viewing in addition to occasional gaming, browsing and shopping only. You can't deny that it's worthless as a productivity device and only useful as a media consumption device.

And you can't deny the fact that the iPad Pro doesn't have Wi-Fi direct screen sharing capability which is universal and ubiquitous in all TVs nowadays. So you go by a wired solution. How sad. You can also use an android tablet or phone as an intermediary for screen sharing to a Smart TV if you can't afford an Apple TV. What? An obscenely priced tablet that can't even screen share to a TV screen? 'Nuff said!

Anonymous, 04 Apr 2019I just choked reading this. iphone better in night? hahaha.... moreEven though I was the guy originally debating its a replica brand, you both misread his reply, he says 'with the exception of low light' and he's partially right, for the average user just taking standard auto shots you will get better results on the XS. However there is far more flexibility on Huawei devices and anyone with an interest in photography would be hard pressed to choose the XS.

But Huawei have brought so much more innovation to the industry over the last few years that it's wrong to call them a replica brand, they may have started off making cheap alternatives to iPhones but you could equally say Apple is a replica brand of Windows, but it wouldn't be fair given the amount of innovation they've put into their products since!

Can u show samples to proof it? I'll be happy to see it. And camera UI same as OIS? Then u can say the same as Samsung & Pixel does, as their camera UI also horizontally flows. Huawei use Leica themed camera UI FYI.

Also have you seen the exact copy of iOS camera UI on the Huawei?

I like Huaweis cos after 3 months you can get them for literally 1/3 of the price. Check the prices of the P20 Pro right now in the UK. They literally have zero resale value.

You do know that all iOS and MacOS products come with apple-"office" pre-installed right?
AirPlay works without connecting to the same network! No network is required! It connects straight to the device!

You can buy an HDMI adaptor for like £10 from amazon. Also you can download many apps that allow Airplay to Windows or Android. My Samsung TV is detected as an airplay enabled device and it works just like an Apple TV.
I found a £1 app for my firestick (Android) which makes it Airplay compatible!
You can literally use screenshare from Facetime to make presentations from your ipad to a Mac!
Most companies use some sort of projector software such as ClickShare (just download the free app)
                          The list goes on!

Try to mirror a Google pixel to a screen without chromecast!
Yes, they don't support it! Then try it with a Huawei P20 and see how it lags 5 seconds behind and skips frames. Been there done that.

Android is great for phones! It sucks on tablets though! Everybody knows that!
There is no tablet version of android! No apps, no optimization.

I use both platforms. Only people who have used both platforms really know.

For tablets iPads are lights ahead, and not only the high end Pro versions!

P.S. Check out AirPlay 2 released in the latest iOS. You can share the powerpoint screen on the projector while having your notes on the iPad screen.
(Or screenshare a video and write emails on the ipad screen)
