8:38 - "Really, the biggest barrier to its (sic) productivity on this machine is not the hardware or the manufacturer. It's the fact that there is an android problem. See, the entire android tablet ecosystem, as far as apps goes, is absolutely atrocious in comparison to iOS. Developers need to sit down and make better apps that are actually easy to use because this form factor is gonna become more and more common."
    ...
10:02 - "If you want a portable workstation that makes more sense, to (sic) invest the money on a computer or the ipad Pro and a phone."

Android tablet ecosystem is atrocious? Really? Wow, I can only say one thing. The reviewer is definitely an Apple fanatic to be making these negative side comments to the Android operating system with zero relevance to the foldable phone being reviewed. You see, phablets and foldable phones were never meant for productivity. Heck, even tablets were never ergonomic enough for productivity. Like android tablets, the bigger screen is mainly used for media consumption - photos, videos, social media, browsing, shopping, YouTube and some gaming. Nobody creates Microsoft Word, Excel or Powerpoint files on a cramped keyboard accessory, cramped 7"-9" screen either in a foldable phone, phablet or mini tablet. Even 10" tablet screen with keyboard is too inconvenient and cramped for keyboard entry. However, people do use android tablets or phablets to open those Microsoft files or photos or videos for business presentations or for wirelessly screen sharing the tablet/phone screen to a boardroom TV or Wifi direct equipped front projection system, which by the way, no obscenely priced Apple device (iPhone or iPad) is able to do natively, without buying a separate overpriced accessory (Apple TV). Even then, the i-device will still require a WiFi network for the wireless screen sharing to function!

An an iPad Pro for productivity? Seriously? No iPad Pro is worth its price as a productivity device no matter how much Apple claims otherwise. As mentioned, 99.9% of tablets are mainly used as media consumption devices - photo and video playback viewing, browsing, shopping, gaming, Youtube, Netflix, and all those sort of apps. No matter how much Apple tries to convince the user the iPad Pro is a productivity device, no matter how much Apple promotes the obscenely priced Apple pencil (that becomes unusable with new iPads), the iPad pro CAN NOT, IS NOT and WILL never be a productivity device. If you want productivity, get a Windows Desktop/laptop or an obscenely priced Macbook/iMac Computer with soldered RAM, soldered internal storage and other soldered components for absolutely zero user upgradeability and zero third party repair service.

How does Angie manage to have that contagious smile, I have never known. Great review!

This looks good but in reality how it withstands many months of usage to be seen. Now a days people are not keen to invest heavily on first gen tech...I like both Samsung Fold and Mate X but both are way too expensive for what it is offering for my needs. Good luck with the Bravehearts

Developers that don't build responsive websites and apps should not be considered developers, but noobs.
As for this phone, sorry but I'm never going to pay for a replica brand. I don't trust them.

You all wont stop until you'll have a 22" 48K display in your pocket.

Outstanding device, especially for a first gen. Compared to the Fold, this one tops the cake for being the more usable and better-looking phone. 5G is another huge plus

But I feel like it's an obvious outcome for a fold-out to look better right now. Fold-ins like the Fold are a much more difficult task to achieve with current display tech, around 3rd-gen imo (I'm lowballing this y'know)

If only Samsung started with a fold-out first like Huawei... I bet people would be arguing why Mate X doesn't have a 3.5 mm jack/stylus/microSD(NM still doesn't make sense). The only "extra" features the Mate X has is an IR blaster and dual SIM. While the Fold has too much cameras and a useless cover display

But nope, Samsung just haaad to go fold-in, and here we have Mate X reigning supreme with an OP selfie cam and 5G. "At least the Fold's cheaper," people will say...
