Loved the phones a lot. But the rear camera won't work normally after the upgrade. Read about the similar problem on XDA Web platform, even no upgrade possible to android 10 by sony

How can i stop my xa2 to stop displaying android.processing.media keeps stopping?
this really makes it difficult to operate the phone.

Don't update to pie. Iv had nothing but problems. Not jus the camera but multiple problems with the screen, not accurate and seems its got a mind of own at times. I would leave it another month.. Allow for them to fix the bugs, glitches and soft spots.. Iv been trying to uninstall it back to 8.1 oreo but still haven't managed, tad too complex for me

Sony tech says xa2 with Android 9, pie is compatible with Wi-Fi calling, vodafone have enabled it on my account and sent me of a patch - no joy! No wifi calling toggle on my xa2!!! Both company techs now saying Android 9 must be the problem! Does anyone have an xa2 with vodafone Android 9 that has a functioning Wi-Fi calling?

xperia xa2 completely defuncted after software update, after guarantee it came back in normal condition with new update

My Ultra was bricked about 2 weeks ago. Sony customer support sucks. They deny that this update problem exists even after telling them where to find the info. Sent phone in 10 days ago and waiting for its return.

I had exactly same problem.
On Thursday he began to ask for new update. After the battery was fully charged, I decided to commit an act during the weekend.
After installation I confirmed restart and phone suffered blacscreen, no responsed to the buttons, nothing only blackscreen and vibrating.
My phone is in warranty, I decided to remove the SIM and insert it into my old NOKIA 515.
After removing the SIM, phone completed the installation, the display again shining and phone working normaly.

One day later (after endless restarts and vol. down + power for trying to reboot) I rebooted the phone one more time and it turned on ok.. works ok so far, but I still have my doubts about this update.. might still brick some devices
