Sony Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra's Android 9.0 Pie update restarted

Got the .352 update in Romania. My XA2 has no issues after update, but by girlfriend's got bricked after rebooting :( I really hoped Sony fixed it... Very disappointed

Bricked XA2 today.
The problem should be known since month, I found about this an article from February. Never ever Sony mobile again.

It been day 4, after update to Pie 9.0 (50.2.A.0.352) so far no any issue, adaptive brighness has automatically adjust (if is on), night light function added, battery life is stable, no any drain problem. Is a good updated!
Only the volume button changed/ shown to adjust media volume, not showing all like previous call volume, ringtone, notice tone. You have to go in the setting > sound to adjust.

Camera photo in pie are not very good like in orero details are not good even in bright morning
Navigation bar is a nightmare it is always white make apps ugly

I can't use the single hand mode and many other functions after the latest pie update on my xa2 Ultra.i'm a bit disappointed on this.just imagine how important the one hand mode to me due to the size of the xa2 ultra's size..I really hope Sony to overcome this issues fast with a new update and I do mean FAST!!

I have no problems with Pie. Everything is perfect. Battery life is very good. Even minor bugs are fixed like Smart lock blank screen. But there are missing features like dark theme. I have another phone with pure Android Pie and has dark theme. Still no AC3 audio support but this is Google's fault not Sony. After all i think Pie is awesome. Sony did their job perfectly.

Those who prefer feature rich ui... moreRich ui? like I know that Samsung OS has improved alot ok, I give that to them their software is quite nice by now but Xiaomi and Huawei? Emui was a lagfest maybe not that much now but a bit more than a year ago it was almost unusable froze too many times and the ram management was a catastrophe and made it sometimes frustrating to use the phone while Xiaomi's Miui is an iOS skinned Emui for me.. which has ads in the built-in settings app.. like why? Either way obviously if someone likes them I won't tell him that he's an id**t for liking their OS because everyone has preferences but the fact that you state "rich ui" is only true as far as the obscure amount of "features" go and some people rather have good UX than an un-countable list of features that most likely will never be used (by some). (also remember, this is only my opinion and for this I don't want to have a fight with anyone)

Its seems that that the update was delayed untill it got stable.
Got pie (9.0) update yesterday in Pakistan... WOW !
Boot failed first time but upon restart everything was perfectly fine !
Did a factory reset, UI is much more snappier than (Oreo) 8.0
I am satisfied, great work Sony !

Those who prefer stock ui choose nokia and pixel.
So no one choose sony.
Most people think sony is just an overpriced featureless device.

They dont have enough manpower to develop stable update, thats the reason they dont give you stable update.

Msafwat, 03 Apr 2019What about recording video in 4k4K works just fine. It is now located in the video quality settings where it should've been in the first place. The camera app has drastically improved.
