MIUI to cut intrusive ads says Xiaomi CEO

Every company even google and youtube should cut off stupid marketing and irelevant adds which 99,99% of us skips anyway.

    i spent 420 dollars. why i have to tolerate all that shitty ads. i pause mi video player and there it goes, an annoying intrusive ad. and so on. my next phone a huawei...

India, if you set region to India, ads just pops out, also, 3-4 new apps start downloading in background (Amazon India and similar).. So, its the best for those in India to change region. For exsmple, Germany.. There is no ads at all.. (But you still need to turn off recommandation in preinstalled Xiaomi apps like, music, download, security, file manager..)

          Owned a few of their junk adware phones , will not be making that mistake again. High spec , low price ,unreliable adware riddled junk.

            When Xiaomi CEO is talking about intrusive ads in MIUI, but every Xiaomi user in the comments claim that they never saw a single ad in MIUI. Precious.

                Ads ate for the chinese version. The globel si ads free. Maybe if you set the contry China you will get ads. But why do you want to do that?

                                realitychecker, 03 Apr 2019yeahh. experienced it firsthand esp in system apps of miui.... moreIt's region based... I've only see ads in apps that my girlfriend doesn't have in her Android One device so she has to download from Play Store (with lot of ads).
                                I dunno why people want Android One, is boring and with few to none personalize options. MIUI let you personalize everything to your taste. Is almost perfect.

                                  On my Poco F1 I´ve got 0 ads. the only thing that I dislike about their OS is that I can't uninstall o disable some google apps or mi ones.

                                  That's why Samsung is way better in this area.

                                        all my xiaomi phones, tablets and routers....all flashed with lineage and openwrt. I can't do anything to its smart watch and security camera, but users need to aware the possibility your privacy is being intruded.
