    desperate measures you say... 870 bucks. The price is too gotdamned high even for Europe, for India it is ridiculous. Xr should be 649$, Xs 799$ with the Max at 899$, and they should come with 128GB storage as base.

      Never heard of discounts and deals from Apple, in India at least! Nearly 20k discount and a free screen replacement on iPhone XR!!!...Apple got hit, where it hurts most! Harsh reality check....

        The App market started in USA, then spread into Canada, UK, Australia, and New Zealand the quickest. Western Europe followed soon after. It had its peak in 2014, sort of like the dotcom-bubble.

        The second wave of this industry was in China, and the industry has most plateaued since 2016. I was surprised they caught on that quick, and without the need for Google Play Services.

        The third wave is now happening in India.
        Not sure if Apple has realised this, but Google certainly has. It's why AndroidOne is performing most strongly in that demographic these past few months/years. I think the industry at this third wave will probably plateau in around 2020.

        ....so maybe this could be the reason why Apple is being proactive??

                Finally, Apple has been brought to its knees! This should have been the original pricing of XR...At least could have given Apple some kind of sales, before Samsung struck with its trio of S10s....Now, Apple must also bring XS and XS Max's price down as well...iPhones are costliest in India compared to other countries, hence price paid by Apple....Their sales are on steady decline in China, and India.....

                  hmmm 54.. still a bad deal compared to the s10e which is 50 after cashback, double the storage and dual cams
