for me, my current 60-70mb net speed is sufficient.

If you dont need wireless reverse charging or 5x camera, then Mi9 is the best choice. Xiaomi is still young company so they need more time to make Wow effect, but they are pretty close - 100 W fast charging is Wow to me. I am owner of Mi9 for 2 weeks and I love that phone. It is fantastic for the price, I am surprised with photo quality ( I did my own test with 5 years old APS-C), huge progress of mobile photo quality, 27 W fast charging is game changer as you need only 30 minutes to get 70% so I am not charging during night anymore but while I have breakfast. SD855 is very fast, no lags, no more waiting for Spotify to start up. The phone is selling in my country like hot cakes. First batch was sold out in few days, second which is on its way is sold out already. I dont think that production of 1 million of Mi9 for month is enough. My only complain is endurance in idle, but it can be fixed by optimalization of MIUI ... anyway GOOD job Xiaomi. Mi9 is a bang

So I assume that you are keeping the price label sticked onto your phone so that you'll be looking at the price every time you look at your phone.. Or you have engraved the specs at the back of your phone..
The "wow" factor is the reaction of your eyes when you're looking at an S10 screen coming alive. The wow factor is what you feel when you're holding a Mate20, P30pro or even the fruity one in your palm. The wow factor is when you're taking a photo with a P30Pro, or when you're using a Note9 stylus for spreadsheets. The wow factor is when you're sitting at the wheel of a Mercedes S class, or when you drive a Tesla....

However, boasting about an expensive phone is just as normal as praising one's favourite brand, isn't it? And the flame wars, brand-bashing and one-sided criticism, ain't that all a problem? No, it's all normal. Human nature kinda normal. I don't think Xiaomi, Huawei, Samsung and Apple fans can avoid fighting each other, nobody's perfect

But I do agree with you that the Mi 9 is very special in its own case: Top-notch build quality and SoC for the lowest price

2nd the Redmi Note 7 (non Pro) also have a 4000 mAh battery and is global.
If you want a better SoC, maybe wait for the Poco F2.

that's all nice and dandy, but not very useful considering small batteries in mi9 and mi9 se, why can't Xiaomi just make phone with proper battery? oh yeah, they made Redmi note 7 pro which they keep only for Chinese and Indians...

They just care about number of sales, not really profit, and looks like they won't stop until they become number 1. They're not yet at the level where you have this tiny little X factor that might not matter for most people but may skyrocket the phone price, which means losing a lot of sales for profit (which might or might not happen).
