Vic4BBM, 17 Apr 2019Nothing surprising in this. Apple dominates due to user ... moreWhere do I start maan, so much wrong information in one article... Are you modern version of fake news app?
First of all, one plus sells it's phone at 35-37k for 128 GB variant . That is literally half of what apple is asking for iPhone xr 64 gb. So how's that anywhere close to Apple prices? And not to mention Samsung has been as good as maintaining it's share on this chart, while apple lost 14 percentage. And look we have another stock wanker here, you do realize that pixel is nothing more than a beta testing device for latest version of Android? They take feature from emui, miui or Samsung and then make a poor implementation of the same in name of stock Android. Without manufacturers, Android won't exist as it is today

the.one, 17 Apr 2019because xiaomi has only 2 model over 400$ price, right now ... moreWell thats correct but even apple is made by foxconn and foxconn is china.
Chips are made by TSMC and TSMC is also china.
Screen comes from Samsung and Samsung is not china but is korea thus crossed eyes.
Many else comes from china whole phone is made under china made for apple which is USA and thats the only nonchina thing about the phone the logo.

Xiaomi have many cheap phones but price doesnt makes quality.
Xiaomi device are quality enough comparable to apple and cost 1/3 of apple prices.

And if Vertu would continue making their phones they would be number 1 for sure.

If r... moreNo, iPhone sales have been declining for years, including sales for this year's models, not just the XR, though the XR has been a disaster. It's an ongoing trend, and I'm willing to bet that this time next year, they'll have fallen again if Apple stays the course that they're on.

what's with this it's not easy to catch apple ? haha samsung was always above apple . Samsung has over 100 companies while apple is just an iphone company. Apple can't even dream to become as big as samsung.

mrleft, 17 Apr 2019I think you're a little overconfident in Apple, considering... moreIs Apple is unaware of the decline? Don't think so.

If recent changes are to be checked in India, Apple has reduced it's prices. Again that's for iPhones of previous gen, except XR in current gen. That's purely in line with thier strategy shift for a price conscious market like India. It's a known fact that prices of previous gen iPhones slash with every new incoming gen. And that's exactly when buyers opt for iphone, a gen older.
                      Reasons being simple
                      - good software support from Apple
                      - being a generation old, entire system is tried and tested
                      - lower price tag yet same premium experience, though a generation old

With One plus increasing it's price, the margin is going bleaker.
Ask anyone, if offered an iPhone and OnePlus at same tag, iPhone will be chosen.
That's exactly what is happening in India slowly, the primary market of OnePlus and it's siblings- oppo vivo.

In India Samsung is already struggling with it's market share.
And slowly people are getting aware that OPPO, VIVO and ONEPLUS are of same parent company. This is surely going to impact the scenario sooner or later.

That's why I say - it's not easy to beat Apple.

And of course, one that has a beginning, has an end too. Same applies for Apple. But with startgey shift, it won't be that soon.

Vic4BBM, 17 Apr 2019Nothing surprising in this. Apple dominates due to user ... moreI think you're a little overconfident in Apple, considering no one imagined Blackberry, Microsoft, or Noika could be toppled until they were. The fact is that Apple is generally behind the game when it comes to adopting new tech/features, which means that they can always be overtaken by sometime who hits the next big trend first. It's worth noting that in 2016 they represented over 70% of the premium smartphone market, then 58% last year, and 51% this year. That's a loss of about 20% of their market share, and their sales have been declining for years. The writing is on the wall unless Apple adapts to the market, and user needs.

                          Nothing surprising in this.

Apple dominates due to user experience and it's committed support for older devices, longer than Android. Just 2 or 3 handsets is enough to dominate.

Samsung needs number of devices to compete in premium segments, yet in terms of software and user experience they can never get closer to Apple. I would believe Samsung if they do it with just 3 devices a year.

Oppo and OnePlus are in race purely due to it's sales in biggest market- India. Affordable and flagship killer tags got them up to here. But those tags won't help much in price conscious Indian market. Prices one plus is asking now is nothing better than any other flagship. Oppo (and Vivo) are pathetic in software updates. That won't lead them anywhere, except sales in volumes.

                          Same for Huawei.

Apple will not meet fate like one time giant Blackberry, Nokia. Reason is simple, though not first in complete touch UI, Apple made it popular. It leads the Arena of touch interface. Samsung and other custom UI try to imitate iOS some way or the other.

Blackberry and Nokia lost due to it's rigidity in adopting the touch UI in time. I am still a big fan of BB OS. But it took time to catch up with touch UI, which rang it's death bells.

Pure Android is catching up with iOS. But customized Android by Samsung, Huawei are pathetic. In name of optimization, these guys are making it pathetic.
One plus is able to hold on solely due to it's nearly vanilla Android version of OS.
Had Android released Pixels with exclusive closed doors OS ( like iOS), it would have been a great competition to iOS.

                          Long way to beat Apple.

You Pay a Large Amount of Money For Nothing Special or Strong In Their Products. Asian Companies Deserves More to Be In the Lead.
