harikurisseril, 18 Apr 2019It's too early for a foldable phone.. I feel smartphone mak... moreYeah, like we did with car, with plane, with computer. Who would like to have a entire room filled with electronic scrap to do an addition? Who would like to have a smelly and Noisy machine that Always need to be refilled with dirty oïl when you could have a coach? And look at all those dumbs that killed themselves trying to fly! Lol are we bird or what, we have feet!
Should I talk about the PDA before the smartphone?
New technologies were never perfect at launch, and the first iPhone that launched the smartphone-mania, was far from a piece new technologies.

Mishandle, 18 Apr 2019These people got free from Samsung for reviewing. They have... moreIf i buy a 2k product, i expect more. I expect durability and can take whatever job i throw at it. What kind of value i get if i need to babysit it, caress it. Damn.
Its not a problem to me to buy a 2k product but the product must have criterias that i want.
And if u say this is only 1st gen (more like beta tester) then why put crazy price on it.
And why even make it only 1st gen, why not trying to be 2nd gen already? More reliable etc. The stakes are high. Thats a 2k product and involve goodwill too!!!!
And if u say protective layer cant be remove, then why not glued it permanently. Why not make something else? Well samsung fans said that samsung tech are more advance than others right?
u can give excuses and defend the brand like no tomorrow, i never believe it. Actually im tired seeing comment/thinking like this.

Actually it should be cheaper than normal mobiles after this! Afterall, you can ask people to pay $2000-$2600 for beta testing

These people got free from Samsung for reviewing. They have no consideration, nor care about the device. They anyhow flip and flap, thus broke it.
Sure you can say why it broke so fast, but if you take care of the device, such things can be avoided.
Remind me of people who sit on their phones.. bend. I bet with you, if they spend their own hard earn money, this will NOT happen.
I have a iPhone 4, tough as brick, i used 2 years, no scratches / flawless. Give to a relative for free, she broke in less then a week. Screen crack, scratches everywhere.
You do not even need to write instructions for how to handle a phone!! Unless you are extremely dumb.. or a baby.. who can't judge a material's strength and weakness given to you.

i wonder how many folds they tried this when their testing this model on pre-production. how come they did not see this coming? take note that the screen folds so the QA on this should be on the highest level.

Teddy Sadcat, 18 Apr 2019As impressive as the tech is, I will never find use for a f... more"I will never find use for a folding display"
I wouldn't rule out using a foldable display in the future, although I have no intention of buying one anytime soon.
I just think you are writing off the use of foldable displays far too soon. This is early days.

When is too much hype around the foldable phones people are like: WoooW, Awesome, excellent, Hurrah etc.
When foldable phone like this breaks and failes to impress people are like: I knew this happens or you see? I told you so etc.
In other words dont expect from initial project too much because without proper testing it will going to fail.
Here are the results.
