Right now I'm using an Samsung Continuum but lacks on updates. I install an leakef 2.2.2 but Verizon don't want to make any more updates and is a shame for a 1 Ghz phone. And Samsung wash their hands telling is an Verizon matter and Verizon replies needs Samsung approval :-(

AnonD-4697, 12 Jan 2012One big plus for ios, symbian, wp phones are the updates ... moreMate the bottom line here is that the Samsung Galaxy S2 is the best on the market. In some regions it is on android 2.3.6/2.3.7 but yet some are on 2.3. In Q1 there will be ICS 4.0 for new users out of the box plus updates for current users. I have an S2 and can tell you that from experience. No matter how much you hate on another OS, its not going to boost sales for WP7.5. Except that Android is the leader in Market share, and it will be for years to come.

One big plus for ios, symbian, wp phones are the updates

Android devices have many problems to bring updates the big example is ICS on Samsung. And please not tell me about cyanogen I'm talking a out official releases. And iphond 3gs can run ios 5, samsung focus 1 can run mango even nokia c6-01 has updates. But you need to buy new androids in order to get good updates. This is just because there is a lot manufacturers an is hard to focus on make updates for every pbone and the carrier (like Veryzon) slow the process to. Thats why android users are out in the cold.

[deleted post]Will be hard to find any "amazing lumias" pal considering the predicted 2,000,000 sales have only reached a mere 450,000. So much for WP7.5 being the sales of Nokia. Im laughing sat here seeing these posts about Nokia and how they compare to Android, IOS, etc etc. The crucial fact here is that the Lumia 800 has been a disaster. On a survey in the UK out of 5600 people buying phones, only 0.17% brought the Lumia. Android is top with iOs 2nd. Nokia is bottom.

Prediction are very easy to pronounce.

Better see how the Xmas market actually performed.
                Did the customers meet predictions?
                or did they prefer Symbian?

If they would only work on the hardware they would not have os good enough to support the jardware? For example windows phone 7 does not support dual core so just working on pure hardware would do no good at all. They could make a dual-core phone but the os would use only one core.

People are right about android the os has many issues. The dual-core optimization is not gpod. And devices relying on ios, symbian, wp works better than the ones on android. But people needs to admit android control todays market. People are more interested in get android devices that nokias or iphones. Marketing has been just great and lower budgets can get easy an android phone than others and that sold numbers, not just quality

Right now wp7 is the most consistent OS and the only thing that keeps it down atm is the somewhat limited application store.

Pls go back to your iphone n tell "it" I said hi :)

I used to like nokia had all they phones in early days and there where some really ground breaking models but past few years they been way off track and they have been blown away, i just buy whats best no loyalty because my n95 turned off daily and nokia exchanged units but they all seemed the same shame excellent camera for period, need a true camera monster with crazy graphics power to hit shelves not plagued with shutdowns for 2012 end or they doomed

With the current Lumias sale status, it may or may not even reach half of that prediction in 2012.
....Apollo OS may helps a bit but it would be too late.
by 2013 dozen company with several dual/quad cores superfones, would be readily available in the markets at (most economical) competitive price ranges.

Android with the most to lose here. WP7, with the Lumia 900 and 800 are going to claw back market share from Android, which is backed by numbers seeing how even the top Android manufacturers are scoring only 45% satisfaction ratings in surveys.

Chewy, 12 Jan 2012HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Rich comment coming from someone ca... moreAndroid has some issues, even google admits it....dont say its perfect..... I have a couple of Android phones...
One has a 1.2Ghz Dual core with 1Gig of RAM. It is roughly 4 times the processor and RAM than my N8 which is running on 680Mhz single core with 256MB of RAM...
BUT, the Android doesn't feel even twice as faster or Smooth than the N8, while N8 is more multimedia capable than the other one.....
ICS is supposed to eradicate the issues, but again, the first device with ICS from Samsung, is so buggy, that it cannot be called a finished product at all....

(Dont believe me...check out on the XDA forums)..
