I'm not a fan android or iOS, or any mobile OS! But if MS continue with this line, not multi task, no flash and no external memory card will not do! and still lacks the quality apps that he has not. Not even the distributions for future updates, as WP8.0, WP8.5, WP9.0 and WP9.5 on, nobody says anything about it, I mean, even when we update the devices and will be paid or not, and another very important thing nowadays, full support for multi GPU and CPU and HD screen resolutions.

Anonymous, 12 Jan 2012So what if android might be on the decline. Its not gunna ... moreApple makes premium devices.. it would a dumb decision to go after iphone, because it has its own niche of users.....
Android is not that bad, it has been made awful and boring by the magnitude of wrongly engineered products of Samsung...
Lumia is aiming at the spot where people who cant afford Iphone(or do not want an Apple product) can buy another quality product which would give roughly the same level of user experience as the iOS.....
The brightest future will be the trio, MOto on Android, Nokia on Symbian/Meltemi/WP and Apple on iOS battling..........
We dont want pure dominance of one tech.....it is not good for progress....

AnonD-1082, 12 Jan 2012Samsuck can only dream of such sales while Nokia is expecte... moreHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Rich comment coming from someone calling themselves Nokia Fanboy PRO... there's nothing pro about being a Nokia Fanboy.

Android isn't in decline at all, in fact it's set to get bigger and increase market share in 2012. People really do need to stop saying that Android is full of malware and viruses, because it's not lol. I've had Android for 3 years now and not had 1 major issue with it. Before you go shouting "Android Fanboy" I'm not, I've had all the OS differences on smart phones, including Symbian, and for me, Android is the best. That doesn't mean it's the best for you, but you should stop being so naive about other OS'.

As for this article, I'd love Nokia to increase their sales of WP7, its about time that OS got the attention it deserves, because it's not a bad OS by any means. However, I can't see it happening, as Nokia are the only manufacturer with complete backing of WP7, others just dabble.

Boy, nokia is cheating us since 2008, compare price and spec sheet of nokia n97 and samsung omnia i890 hd. And today compare spec sheet and price difference between nokia lumia 800 and samsung omnia w. Unless you are blind like most of your fellow country man, you will see that nokia is definitely cheating people.

AnonD-252, 12 Jan 2012People are definetly not "sick of Android", and a... moreDo you have any proof? All of my technologically challenged friends who bought an Android device said they bought it because it was cheap, they couldn't afford an iPhone, and there's no good alternative on their carrier. The got tired and sick of Android after the first few months and wished they had a better alternative or saved up to buy an iPhone instead. This is where Nokia comes in. Nokia will provide a great alternative to the flawed Android and Nokia will offer WPs on different price range so that everyone, even the ones on a tight budget can have one. Android lags on a dual core and the experience on the mid and low end is even crappier. The silent majority of Android users are sick and tired of that malware and virus ridden OS.

It still lags even with a dual-core and the Android fanboys were so used to the lag, they thought it's normal. That's all there is on Android phones. They look good on the spec sheet but their performance in real life is crap.
