Keep these in mind, before you decide to pre-order the Galaxy Fold.

I applaud Samsung for releasing the folding phone first.
It does seems (from a Dev. standpoint) it's not ready for prime time.
The "things" are mostly knocks, and while GSM stayed middle of the road, they are mostly "unpositive".
OnePlus fanboy,.. expecting OP7 unfufillment.

This must be the most failed gadget of the century! I don't know why Samsung still haven't scrapped this bendable project...

Whackcar, 20 Apr 2019I completely agree with your statement. All the Youtubers (... more+1

I agree with you. They are all so biased!
If apple released a product like that they would roast it even if it worked perfectly, just on the price point! They would roast the plastic screen that scratches at "a level 3". The tiny external screen. The ugliest design. The notch which has a ridge around. The hinge gap. The glued on cases. They would say apple is greedy and that the screen film is there to break the phone!

Anyone who is unbiased will agree that this is a a half baked product, barely past the prototype stage. A step in the right direction for the future of smartphones but this shouldn't be a consumer product. The huawei one is probably even worse because the plastic screen is external! The foldable screens scratch extremely easy.

The reason people wanted a foldable phone to make smaller phones with bigger screens. This device is literally like having 2 smartphones glued together. It literally makes much more sense to buy a high end flagship and a high end tablet and have money to spare.

All the Youtubers (specially Lew from UnboxTherapy) are defending the foldgate controversy very aggressively. Had it been an Apple product, the responses would've been very negative instead. Their would've been a total backlash like how it went for the bendgate, chargegate & all those other Applegates of late. Even GSMArena is defending Samsung. It's biased & unfair.

Oh and I'm not an Apple fanboy. I'm just saying what I'm seeing.

3 screens?? Unless i'm mistaken, its one normal and one foldable, right?

The galaxy fold makes people, reviewers or fans alike, show their true colors by not applying the standards they set to Apple/other brands to their beloved Samsung brand.

Hoping Huawei are more patient and see the potential failure this device will be - I think their adaptation is more stylish for sure. The technology is exciting but you cannot advertise a product like this as a productivity booster and necessary product to shake up the market without even using it to its full potential... I mean it folds - what else does it do again?
