      Where is the option for people who don't need a selfie camera at all????
      And if I want to videochat, I just use my tablet.

            ThanosOnTheHouse, 22 Apr 2019Tell me if I am wrong!! Why does Optically Stabilize Camera... moreif you mean smooth as in SMOOTH MOVEMENT. check if your phone supports 4k@60FPS. it will be never smooth if your phone doesn't support it, and it's not set as the current setting.
            if you mean smooth as in shakiness then OIS has limitations. it can counter-act shakes of up to 0.1inch in the most new OIS of phones, but some people are more shaky than that. (NOT NECCESARILY YOU!) so that can be one of the issues either.

              Of course rear camera is more important but there are so many problems nowadays. Rear cameras are stuck to 12 mpx for years now and we would appreciate all the good things from these but to have more detail and have at least double that size. There are now 48 mpx cameras but the quality is nowhere near acceptable. Selfie cameras suffer mostly from white contrast and dynamic range is poor even on top models.

                Does anyone play the Japanese game, it has AI servants as a drone follow the user, if it would be happen, the selfie camera will be discontinued. But when the AI playing their own game, it would be the judgement day.

                  Will any OEM dare to release at least one phone without selfi camera with full screen display? No notch, no punch hole, no pop-up camera.

                        front camera Only for those who use video calls regularly. If i don't use video call then it is unnecessary.

                            After hard consideration, l'd probably vote none, at least for me. I hardly ever take selfies, and have better equipment when l want to take a nice picture - even 1" compacts beat modern smartphones, not to mention any DSLR.
                            However seeing most people don't have the skills nor equipment, l'd say that regular rear camera is the more important one for capturing precious moments for most folks

                              IMO, I think the question should be "Is selfie camera important to you?" instead. AFAIK, even in region where selfie is heavily used such as mine, people still give rear camera higher priority. However, this doesn't mean that front camera is totally useless to us. For instance, I, myself, rarely take selfie picture with it, but I usually use the camera for video calling with my parents who live hundreds miles away and in rare occasions conduct an interview.

                                IMO,

                                  It looks like people indeed forgot what is the role of smartphones in the first place which is communications and not photography, selfy is more important for sure, but we are having both anyway.

                                      i found somewhere this question: if you have so many friends (online...) why all your pictures are selfies? that's why the front camera is needed...

                                      personally i'd buy a "no front camera" phone in a heartbeat. lower cost, more room for useful features, no interruptions in the display.... face recognition? i use a password (safer...).
