Qualcomm and Samsung will supply Apple with 5G modems in 2020

    I turned off the automatic update for iOS, but without my consent the tablet downloaded the update anyway ( more than 700Mb I dont remember exactly). And the annoying pop up shows up daily asking me to do the update.

    I go to the settings > display and brightness .... I see the brightness bar, I drag to lowest value but as soon it detects more light I see it moving to higher level.

      There are devices that wont get android 10, but will still get security patches until early 2020.
      Bug fixes do not require new OS version.

      Devices with android 5, 6, 7 and 8 are not obsolete just because dont have the 9.
      They still can make calls, browse on internet, send/receive messages and do many tasks.

Update is important for bugs fixes and improve overall performance, this days all Android OEM’s update there phones through monthly security patches and fixes bugs with it especially Samsung, so why should they do this since update makes there phones slow?!. I’m using iPad mini 4 since 2015 and there’s no slow down I can play intensive games without issue, yeah might be the graphics and overall performance not as good as latest iPad, but still with outdated hardware still can runs heavy games well.

Auto-brightness can be changed if you press auto brightness button , auto update you can change from setting turn it off for all apps and software update you can change to manually, Bluetooth it’s not big of deal for me since I use it only with wireless headphone

              Unless Apples makes significantly great implementation of the uses of 5G on iPhones, the iSheep buying the 2020 models won't care about faster down/upload speeds.

                  - Bluetooth restrictions.
                  - I use 4shared and Google Drive , depending on what kind of file you want you cannot download.
                  - No option to turn off Auto Brightness , you need to cover front cam of iPad to prevent it from seeing light.
                  - It downloaded an update without my permission. Since day 1, I turned off the auto update
                  - there are apps are not optimised fpr iPad, half screen remains black ( Santander Bank is an example)

                    1) Apple owns iOS, that is why they can give it as soon as it is ready. Same applies to Google/Android /Pixel. Companies like Samsung, LG, Sony etc will add their own stuff to stock android and it takes time to be done.

                    2) It is ridiculous to believe that a device ( smartphone/tablet) becomes obsolete without the latest version of OS. Also pretty stupid to think the slower updates is forced to make people buy new phone. Pixel 3 is better than Pixel 2, no matter the android version Pixel 2 has. Latest SO os not make yout device better than the next generation.

                    3) there is no point of offering 4 new OS versions if the device end up pretty slow. My sister had iphone 5 and told me after 2 updates the phone was getting slower already.

                    4) Updates for android phones also include support from the CPU maker. Qualcomm wont give support fpr many years. Otherwise would be much easier for the OEMs to use 820/821 instead of 630/660 for midranges.

                    I have 2 phones and 1 iPad.
                    Main phone has android N and backup phone has android L.
                    All I need works well, not having android 9 does not change anything to me.
                    My iPad has iOS 12.0.1 and I did not want to install the updates available.
                    It does not have any benefit to me.

Just ask yourself why some of android knows how to root there phones why they did that the reason to get ride of aka features bloatware especially in case of Samsung galaxy and note line.

If Google didn't exist then samsung would be using tizen on their phones and if Sony didn't exist then inferior cameras and if qualcomm didn't exist then possibly mediatek. Every company sources parts from others. Some more some less but nobody uses their own hardware completely

                              Apple was late to the table with 4G. The 2012 iPhone 5 didn't support many 4G frequencies.

                                  Apples road map was always 2020, major cities have 5G you don't have to wait until the country is totally 5G is an argument Apple would like you to have

                                  In 2020 all Apple will get is a 5G version of 4G phone

                                  Since 2014 if memory serves has been the 4G era 5G is a phone upgrade, 4G is duplication Apple are selling a tweaked version of the phone you already have, as all phones still get IOS released

                                      You can have all the latest updates considering the fact IOS is behind in alot of features. To this day their file manager is rubbish, still need itunes to transfer music and videos to a laptop.

                                      Let me know when you can do split screen multi tasking, I give ya 2 or 3 years.
