I get excited whenever see a new phone with slightly interesting features, but then I think to myself what I've been doing with my current phone and what I will be possibly doing with this new interesting phone. then I see the price. nope.

No need to pay huge money. Any android one phone or stock android phone is good enough.

Apple can keep their price, because of iOS.

Pixel is running Android like all other phones, no means of increasing price.

They kinda deserved it since they make midrange like phones for the price of a flagship. They make fun of apple but they themselves are not any better. At least Apple products are still good enough to be considered flagship. Like just look at the gigantic notch on the pixel 3 xl. They made fun of apples notch but their own notch is about 2 times taller than iPhone notch.

Not surprising at all. It's overpriced, unappealing design, underpowered, buggy from the start, and almost featureless compared to the competition.
