White looks cleaner because the color blends in, developers don't even care how much the color pops when in dark mode, that's why it looks cluttered, there's so much color, so much going on the screen

white, displays cannot handle reflections, even apple can't so black in the end is not really black, so white works better

I love dark themes. Winsows 10 eliminated the full color personalisation (the available contrast themes have dark backgrounds but also horrible neon color elements), and on Android a dark theme isn't always available, most pages kill my eyes with white backgrounds, especially at night.

GSMArena website needs a dark mode

There is a time and place for each. Light themes are better in bright environments. Dark ones are better in dark environments.

I've been using dark themes for everything I could since 2001 why would I change now?

One of the main reasons I had rooted my Galaxy S3 was just that, to have the ability to have a dark theme installed. Since then, I do to my handsets whatever it takes to get a dark mode.
My previous LG G6 and my current S10 support dark themes and Google goes to that direction too. The day that we'll remember the time that there was no dark mode to out devices and lough is not too far.

Dark themes, because it's easier on my eyes. I'm not fussed about battery savings, but eye strain is definitely lesser.

I prefer white interface in daytime because its easier to read what is on screen under bright sunlight and black theme at night

sumdumguy, 05 May 2019Whenever an app starts supporting a dark mode, I'll jump on... moreI understand it's a historical thing. Newspapers have always been printed with black ink on white (or yellowish when recycled) paper. It's only because at first it was impossible and even now it's a lot more expensive to make black paper and white ink so it is what is it.

That being said, there is no point to follow suit with computer screens and yet most publishers have done so.

Whenever an app starts supporting a dark mode, I'll jump on it just like that. (snaps fingers)

I don't care about the battery usage. Okay I care but it's just a bonus. For me, it's a simple matter of ergonomics. Dark background with bright fonts and whatnot is less stressful for my eyes. Too bad 99% websites use black on white...

Dark Mode at night and lite mode at day time feels good

Wow Sony Xperia 10 plus is looking so sexy and beautiful, I think Sony Xperia 1, 10 and 10 plus are one of the best looking smartphones of all time (for me)

Most android users doesn't know what a dark theme is. I've been with dark theme ever since Windows 10 Mobile is released.
