Hole is way much better than massive notch on the front. you will see the Q2 results from sammy soon, and you will see sales drop because of S10 series. Even more cause Fold is even more a big big flop, and maybe S10 should be the Fold and not what they are now.

You compare something which is not comparable because back in that time there werent technology to create something like that.

If Samsung fold was the very first foldable phone i would say its forst but folding phones were here 20 years ago.
Even nintendo made a folding console before 2000.

And the first income did not revolutionize or smartphone world. Even the name was stolen. They just hopped on the smartphone bandwagon realizing where it was going and helped popularize a few things.

Such products should be killed at the design stage, never even reach production. One sees a prototype and *immediately* fires the people responsible.
Steve Jobs was a monster of a person but knew how swiftly you should act in cases like this. In 2005 they designed an iPhone which was really, really bad. Steve Jobs asked to look at it, and upon seeing it a rage unlike any other took over him. He fired the team and made sure that they never find work anywhere ever again. He basically destroyed their lives, forced a lot of them to switch states, even go overseas to find work because US was not to welcome to them. Steve Jobs *burnt* them.
And *that* is what created the first iPhone and hencefore the mobile revolution that we still experience. It was not the making of a genius, it was the making of fear. Brought upon them the rage that took over Steve Jobs. Everybody since would reminiscence what happened to the original iPhone team (basically decimated, their lives and their families destroyed) and made sure to not the next ones sentenced to the worst life imaginable. Getting a job with Apple used to mean risking *everything* in the old days. Nothing of the rainbow s*** we get these days.
A Steve Jobs figure is sorely missed from this space. Old school, stern, unrelenting, vengeful...
If such a person existed in Samsung this product would had never got put mof the design phase, the team's lives destroyed. A warning to the rest ...

There is a thin line between wanting to innovate and wanting to be the first in something just to take all the praises. It's up to each of you to think where Samsung stood in all this.

It is impossible to read , watch media with a freaking bezels going through the screen. No wonder Kyocera is such a failure of a company.
Thank god that modern foldables look nothing like that. Mate X looks practical even...
