Leak suggests Xperia 1 camera modules are manufactured by Zeiss

          Its funny how most high end smartphones use Sony modules, but Sony decides not to use their own modules and go with Zeiss instead. Either they don't know how to optimize their own modules to product the best possible quality (it has always been that way tbh), or they don't trust their own product.

            Finally I cofirmed that I can go for Nokia mobile with Zeiss lense. Nokia always uses Zeiss lense for high end mobile, now they started to use for mid range mobile. Earlier this post I confused go for Sony IMX lense or Nokia Carl Zeiss lense. Nowwwwwwwwwwwwww Zeiss lense.

              Yeah, but what's the point?
              The hype for this phone is already over, and apart from Sony Xperia fans like me and some tech journalists, Idk anyone else who knows about this phone nor remembers it.

                Well, the former G lens was great but sometimes I see flares in low light conditions.
                Expecting better than that.

                  Sony really make great phones but sometimes the softwares are its own downfall. It's not as intuitive as the competitors and yet not as smooth as one plus nor pixel phones.
                  They have great cameras, great screen and great battery life, but what make their phone doesnt sell are the lack of marketing. Huawei spends a lot of money on marketing and now they are recognized big time in the Asia market. Sony is practically dead within the Asian region. As much as I love Sony, the only people that's gonna buy sony phones are only sony fans :/

                    Sony is the only phone manufacturer that also makes pro cameras but they can't keep up with phones photos/videos quality...

                      I've been waiting for news about this phone for months. What's happening? It seemed more than ready at MWC. Why is it so freaking long?

                        They should've announced it in May or launched soon after they've announced!
