why do we need quads in our PCs? because it makes what we currently do more easily and opens more possibilities for future developments.

besides, this quad doesn't even compare to a desktop cpu. not even in the same league so that's a stupid comparison.

The device it self was spectacular. I loved the held it felt and the screen, IPS was top notch, however after i updated the device to Gingerbread it went to crap. I'd rather wait for Fujitsu's tegra 3 which is supposedly going to be Fujitsu's break into the North American market.

yes, maybe quadcore is way overkill for a smartphone but remember......

tegra3 is not all about raw power, but battery saver too thanks to it‘s 5th core who run when your device don‘t need all the power.

so, tegra3 with 2000mah battery is a quiet promising.

and please....... add 1gb ram instead of 512mb like in o2x or o3d.

correction, the medfield device ran at 1024x600, making it a total pixel comparable to iphone 4S' Retina display, significantly lower pixel than 1280x720 that other HD android devices run.

Anonymous, 21 Jan 2012how's that better? that intel single core chip pwned dual ... moreObviously your reading skills and knowledge of any SoC or processors is very poor.

                                    1. x86 has always been, will always be more powerful than ARM based CPU. Intel Medfield is guess what? x86.

                                    2. Secondly the benchmarks that were done on the medfield device was browser benchmarks and guess what again? Intel Medfield's device ran at a resolution of 1280x640, meaning it processed less pixels than the Galaxy Nexus which is why it beats Galaxy nexus that runs at 1280x720 resolution, also the medfield's GPU the PowerVR 540 was clocked higher than the Galaxy's Nexus as well.

                                    3. Also Medfield is a Hyper Threading CPU, meaning essentially it can do multi-threaded processing, which guess what again? Multi threaded makes CPU run like it's a dual core CPU, it can process 2 threads at once vs single threaded processing that ARM can do.
