In battery test all those android devices running dual core phones with higher resolution, larger screens that consumes more power out lasted Nokia phones in 3G web browsing and 3G phone calls.
So how is these outdated phones "have better battery life"?

Anonymous, 20 Jan 2012pardon my ignorance, but who needs a quad core on a PHONE? ... moreQuestion a half-a-decade ago, "Who needs a 600MHz processor for a phone? I only need it for call, text, browsing, and videos. I'd go a for a desktop or laptop if i want something better."
If humans evolve, so does technology for it coincides with changing demands.

Actually, a more profficient processor would handle multiple tasks better, and if on the same or smaller(tegra 3) die, it would use even less power. Nothing to do with running Skyrim or other games at all. Quad core isn't something crazy new, tech moves forward, it's exciting. Also, ICS is hardware accelerated, so the Tegra 3 chipset + ICS pairing should make for an interesting combination. my 2c.

Anonymous, 20 Jan 2012pardon my ignorance, but who needs a quad core on a PHONE? ... more"pardon my ignorance, but who needs a quad core on a PHONE? are you gonna run Crysis or something on it? like, I honestly don't get the point." - You are pardoned ;-)
- users will see the power of quad-core in the multitasking speed. The speed in which you switch between open applications will be much faster than that of a dual-core phone.
"personally, I wish they'd find ways to prolong the battery life rather than stick a more powerful chip in" Well that is exactly one of the things they are doing ;-)
Nvidia says that quad-core processors are actually easier on battery life than single- or dual-core chips. With the Tegra 3, the processes are distributed across the multiple cores, and therefore a quad-core phone consumes less power than a dual-core phone. The Tegra 3 chips actually have a fifth “companion core” that is built using a special lower-power-silicon process. This companion core handles tasks at a lower frequency for active standby mode, music playback, and video playback.

im still not satisfied
at least a 6" screen with 8 core cpu
12gb or ram
and at least 68xx radeon graphics
all that in 1mm width and battery for two weeks of 4g browsing
although, i dont think even that will resolve android lag

Put that har... moresigh.. obviously you've never heard of an adapter? you're not attaching the HDMI cable to the phone itself but rather the adapter that plugs into the phone. The Adapter is a microUSB cable with a female HDMI port on the other end by the way... unless you truly believed that you actually connected the HDMI cable to the phone itself?...

Quad core isn't used to play better stuff on the phone, it's used so that you may do MORE with the phone. Such as have multiple browsing windows open without the phone slowing down, texting while those web browsers are open and not have any lag. Sure it kills the battery faster, but that is why man created rechargeable batteries.

I would like to have 4 cores cpu in my galaxy note, it will make it even more powerful, and also a better GPU for run, why not some desktops games on the go...

AnonD-38309, 20 Jan 2012Quadcore phone with 2000 MAH battery? Pass...
There is s... moreobviously you're ignorant to any new technology. The LG phone uses a Tegra 3, which is quadcore when you're using intensive applications such as 3D gaming, however when you're not needing all that power like say for emailing, regular web browsing, or just plain listening to music it offsets work load to a 5th companion core, meaning for 70% of the time it'll be single core.
Skyrim is a pretty intensive application, for any laptop to run skyrim at 1080p you're going to need to be spending over $1000 USD, also you do realize that most of these android phones have a MHL(HDMI) port right? So if you wanted to you can always set your phone into video out mode and play games at 720p resolution on a 32" or bigger TV.
