Just because it's narrow enough to be held in one hand doesn't make it "compact". By that token, a baseball bat is "compact". Anything more than 145mm sticks out of a shirt pocket enough to risk giving you an uppercut everytime you nod.

MYy favorite copycat is the only true riginal.
          Thats motorola.
Without Martin Cooper an d his first cell phone he and his team created back in 1972 no other brands would existed. Thus all copy.

Its like Henry Ford which makes first car available to the public ford model T.
Cars where before but too much expensive and with a very bad reliability.
          Thus not worth the money.
Ford Model T were true genuine. Same like DynaTAC 8000x made by Martin Cooper Co-founder of USA Motorola Company and his friend another president of Motorola John F. Miitchel.

AnonD-731363, 16 May 2019Trend??? Small phones stilll exist. Even among Motorola ... moreYou either have no clue what I was talking about, OR you are leading the conversation somewhere else on purpose (as you so often do).
It is obvious that I was referring to your previous comment (which was quoted anyway) "This is not a phone but TV Remote controller for sure" on which I replied: "...see the trend coming?? Check out Motorola....."
Now, where on earth did you see any mention of size small or big? You know very well that I was referring to the "remote control" aspect ratio, and the new Motorola One vision. Rest assured, your favorite copycat brand will have at least one model with this aspect ratio by next year (just the ratio of course, whilst still a USB 2, no IP rating, cheap plastics, etc). And a Sony camera sensor of course..
PS (I have taken a screenshot of this conversation for future reference)

I think for my next phone I'm going to have to get a phone ring on the back because there literally aren't any (good) sub 5" 16:9 phones anymore.

AnonD-819322, 16 May 2019Of course as it is quite narrow, under 70mm.Yeah, but people who criticize the 21:9 ratio will say: You have two hands, why not use them? Well, sorry, if I want one free hand. For example when I'm riding on the bus and I have to stand and hold on, so I don't land in some old lady's crotch.

Those competitor looks like very unhappy let them be. They have time to trolling on here to mess up Sony thread.

Too late, Sony. Just replaced my X Compact with a S10e. Would've probably continued with Sony had they released a Compact model sooner. I know I made the right decision, though, as X2 is a lot taller than S10e, and when I'm sitting down with the phone inside my jeans' pocket, I wouldn't want a taller phone as it would probably slip out of the pocket.
