Eldamri, 15 May 2019I think the teardrop design is the way to go with less comp... moreThey advertise the device as ultimate media experience and you think they should use a cut screen.. Do you realize that 21:9 videos would lose part of the image because of the notch?

10+ have same % of screen compare to Moto G7+ that uses ugly drop notch.

Notch is the most ridiculous idea Sharp ever made, sadly all chinese brands followed it because Apple uses.

Could it be the Xperia 1 5G and not Xperia 2?

Eldamri, 15 May 2019I think the teardrop design is the way to go with less comp... moreExclude the display the Xperia 1 bezel is very slim because the bottom bezel has gone! It only left a little bezel on forehead of the phone for arrange front camera etc sensor, the tiny bezel still grip able and most impressively it doesn't have any view blocks like punch hole eyedrop or notch!! I definitely prefer straight line than protrude line, protrude like eyedrop is very annoying unless you have immersed your panoramic view in this compromise designs.

Anonymous, 15 May 2019158 x 68.3 x 8.3mm is not compact at all! It's only the length due to the 21:9 screen.

PSA: If you still complain about this phone's bezels (which are damn near nonexistent) then you are the worst of trolls and should do something productive with your life.

I think the teardrop design is the way to go with less compromise. The huawei p30 teardrop design for the selfie camera looks nice and same goes with the mi9se. Hope Sony will try this out in making a compact bezeless phone with the omnibalance squarish design. If sony will stick to the 21:9 aspect ratio, they should use the xz2 compact dimension ang go with whatever screen size would fit. It may be 5.2 or 5.3 could be more.

Bored to see the bezel squad. Go away, this is not your place anyway. I would even increase the bottom one to be simmetrical with the upper one. Wanted to change to S10e, then OP6, both of them are like a tank with wallet case, does not fit anywhere, also they use amoled what is expensive to replace.
So just a little hope from sony, probably they will release a compact version from this one.
Xperia Ace is coming this summer according to sumahoinfo ( cca same size az XZ2C, 4Gb RAM,SD710).

Also if you follow even the slightest of what Sony is doing, you'd expect anyway around September their autumn flagship as every year. They nearly always have two flagships per year.
Also this phone has a significantly smaller screen than the Xperia 1, so maybe this is their next compact rather than an Xperia 1 replacement.
