If Huawei have to sell phone without Google services that would be great. A true stock Android phone.
The Android OEMs should come forward and support a global app Store instead of Google's.
Rest of the services can be provided by third parties, but a proper trusted app Store, with global content and non free content should be present.

AnonF-85937, 20 May 2019Google have confirmed Google Play and Google Play security ... moreThat is good news! ^_^ I hope this means they support their earlier devices and P & maybe Q and even sell them for a while until the new OS is ready. I cannot imagine that they will be pulled from Pie tough maybe Q will be cancelled... My expectation is that they will sell Android P or Q devices until they have the new OS ready since these was given pre-ban...

You know, if Huawei were to create or revive a privacy oriented OS, like Symbian or Meego or something, then I might just buy my first Huawei...
Let US & its google go to hell.
I'm not against global surveillance, do it but in limits. I have not much to hide.
The way Google does it, using our 4000 mah batteries to spy on every location of ours all day and night, it sucks... Its just making our phones heavier and unsafe (due to more lithium ion).
I so miss the real Nokia era where 1500 mah battery meant 2 days of battery life on an AMOLED display, no less.

[deleted post]If you use a mobile phone, it is most likely manufactured by one of the "little children" labour. In the past, little children were a part of labour in Europe as well. We(europian) are just lucky now that this job is being done by someone else, otherwise it would have to return...

It's time Asian and Europe take down US greedy company.
Samsung, LG, Sony, Nokia, Huawei, BBK, Xiaomi should start their collaboration for developing new ecosystem outside google and Microsoft. Make your own OS, playstore, services

First of all, this suspension of license is not because of spying fear mongering (not officially at least), but because Huawei violated US sanctions on Iran. Biggest loser here is european market, since our official stance is support for Iran and we accept Huawei products as safe to use. I think Huawei needs a strong answer to this situation, global community also needs to support them, If we do nothing other brands might follow next... As far as making a new OS its really not that simple, many tried and all of them failed. I still have my windows phone somewhere and i loved it back in the day, but its adoption failed miserably.

BernardZG, 20 May 2019I hope they have success with their new OS, it is time to s... moreYeah tough the only way for it to work is if they can make others support this new OS, one option is to ban all Android sales in China and make local and imported phones use this new OS and then app support will come rather quick... ^_^

The U.S.A at it again. Envy and intrusive. They are delaying development in Iran and now they are trying another one on China. The U.S is such a bully. Time Russia and China join forces and form more allies to ban the U.S on their bullish moves.. The U.S can't make good engines, No good innovation comes out from them but rather they take an unfair advantage over dollars.

Chee Khuan, 20 May 2019China banned those companies because they don't follow the ... moreAre you kidding me... the law they do not obey is to expose all your data to government, so they can hunt you down if your speech about the government is not fully approved by the government, on any app. Research first about all the crap happening there about social control before you shout here...
This is coming from a huawei user, I have a P30 pro but I understand the reason for that (I believe breaking copyrights could be a possibility to this ban)

Chrove, 20 May 2019Ouch, guess Huawei devices will be out of radar for now...Maybe not immediately, if they can still ship them with Pie or Q(I do not expect them to get the next due to the ban and Google can not possibly think its forgivable to punish the consumers who have bought a device pre-ban) until they have their own OS up and running then they can sell that until then, if not well they better have their own OS ready... Google better not pull security updates for the latest Android version and earlier Huawei have sold to its consumers, if they do that they most compensate all who bought a Huawei device from their own wallets because this is not Huawei`s fault its Google`s... So yeah I guess Huawei gotta make their own OS or stick to the last version Google sent them...
