AnonD-241270, 22 May 2019Smells like crApple are involved in this, cause Huawei mark... moreI am not an apple fan, but you are very misinformed and ignorant. The ban comes from the trade war between the US and China that is based only on Trump politics and propaganda.

          Hmm...
          RIP Huawei.

AnonD-241270, 22 May 2019Smells like crApple are involved in this, cause Huawei mark... moreThat logic is very flawed. You do realize that Apple is probably gonna lose the Chinese market thanks to this ban, which is one of the more important markets. So they would lose even more from something like this.

AnonD-241270, 22 May 2019Smells like crApple are involved in this, cause Huawei mark... moreApple cares about how much money they make per unit. Not how many iphones are sold.

If they wanted marketshare then they would make a midrange iphone to compete against Pixel 3a, Samsung A70, Mi9 Lite and P30 Lite. Because an new iphone at $470 would kill all competition.

While Samsung amd Huawei battle for #1 , Apple earn more money with phones sold than both. Most phones sold by Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo are sub $400 .

Midranges give you maketshare, not high profits.

im so looking forward to when china bans the exports of rare earth minerals to US. particulary since the US industry has been pretty much dependent on it. whats rare earth minerals? ohh it nothing, it just some stuff thats needed to produce basically anything under consumer electonics (phones, gadgets and alot more) and others in tech. China did it before with Japan, so...

unlike other trade bans (where Huawei had potentially just negotiate with suppliers outside US...like Japan/Korea etc) this is a serious blow.

No Intel chips to fall back (same boat as ARM), your potential ally in this field is AMD then? but they have pulled out of mobile game afaik...so this really just flat out stops Huawei..in mobile division at least.

Let's see what China can do. I wouldn't be surprised if they just flat out start band US companies.

by that logic why wasn't Samsung banned? This is politically motivated. Apple is big, but not big enough to affect US government decision.

I suppose you are one of those people who think 5G will fry your brains, and vaccinations cause autism?

Now Mr.Trump needs to stop Apple for overpricing their products in 150%.

No ARM instruction set? OK, this spat just became *really* interesting.

Smells like crApple are involved in this, cause Huawei market share is rising, and crApple are aware, and affraid to lose to them, since Samsung already have a big piece of market, now Huawei came to detonate all crApple...so, people who are opening their eyes about crApple are buying Sammy or Huawei so, crApple is affraid to lose even more...

crApple are paying US government to do this, i am sure...not the same case as ZTE but...Trump pockets are full of dirty money from crApple.
