Trump: Huawei is “very dangerous” but also “would be included in some kind of trade deal”

24 May 2019
Trump’s explanation for banning Huawei sounds like it’s using Huawei to leverage a deal.

it is truly satisfying watching such 'wars' go on, by the time the dust settles, the consumers will finally get better 'everythings'. better supplies, better os, better apps, better cameras, better prices, better phones and gears!

This is in way How Americans do business or treat its customers. Obviously it show How USA is afraid of China. And this fear show vulnerabilities with the American system. The lesson is learned in here is : AMERICAN BUSINESS ARE UNRELIABLE and self-interest is above everything.

see, us arrogance knows no bounds, what threat, think that world war 3 can possibly break out just because of telecommunication gear, what a farce, if the commies and allies truly wanted to fight, they would not be using huawei as a scapegoat, this whole issue about there being underlying threats in telecommunication gears is just plain old mistrust. huawei should not have been allowed to buy up patents in the first place why only ban them now?

Shui8, 24 May 2019Thats because Huawei have been banned & cant sell in US... moreSo true, but Trump and his blindfolded disciples will never admit that.
US deserves to stand alone, they doing all they can to kick all their friends away, with lies, hypocritical, selfish behavior, greed etc. etc.

I see people here don't understand that US banned Huawei for their telecommunication equipment, gsm 5G antennas for security reasons first of all and second for the smartphones.

Shui8, 24 May 2019Thats because Huawei have been banned & cant sell in US... moreApple is not about market share. They are more profit driven. Huawei would still make less profit cause there market is more budget and mid range oriented. Everyone knows you can't make much profit from those.

such a good idea, using a manufactured threat to gain leverage on a mere deal. our beloved potus is such a great man making america great again at the expense of other nations, a great man indeed, just see when this madness will end with his possible impeachment looming, peace!

one man and few others can truly cause trouble for hundreds or possibly even thousands of others! what a great nation or even state of the world to be in right now! just pity the poor tech industry guys bearing the brunt of this outrage.

AleonN, 24 May 2019So does anyone actually think Huawei is a security threat ?... moreJust my words, this man is so damn hypocritical so it hurts somewhere behind. In the same time he is so dangerous for the world, what other country choose an insane, egocentric, imbecil greasy old man from the cuckoo's nest as a president, its really incredible...
I really must admit its the land of opportunities LOL

Kingslayer, 24 May 2019Unfortunately for the United States, we're dealing with a d... moreThats because Huawei have been banned & cant sell in US since Mate 10 series.

Even without US, Huawei manage to surpass Apple on sale from the whole world. Imagine if it sells in US on the 1st place, i wont be surprised if its surpass Samsung as well.

And Huawei is not just about smartphone. Their biggest department are telecommunication. And its the biggest in the world. In the world.

America saw this from the start.

Kingslayer, 24 May 2019Unfortunately for the United States, we're dealing with a d... moreGlobally, Apple is just ~14%, however

It was already way too obvious that the Huawei ban was not at all because of any security reasons, as there was never any proof - simply because there isn't any!
The only one who has been prove to be spying on everyone is the US by means of the NSA, see Edward Snowden. What he brought forward certainly only is the tip of the iceberg in terms of the US spying on everyone.
What we really need here in Europe is a bad on all US hardware instead, just because they actually are spying on everyone, with hard evidence! Sadly, the EU politicians are still too pussy-footed to do that, but those big fines on creepy US companies liek Google and Facebook are already a good start!

It really doesn't surprise me that by these words now, Trump is now officially the biggest troll in the world. It reveals even for the dumbest hick now that he had been shamefully lying about the supposed security reasons before, and that he only did it because Huawei has far surpassed any US company by now, and he knows all to well that his US companies suck far too much to be able to beat Huawei fair and square, that's why he resorted to such dirty foul play.

Unfortunately for the United States, we're dealing with a duopoly anyway.

                                      45% Apple
                                      30% Samsung
                                      25% the rest

I hardly see anybody here use a Huawei. Where I live in SoCal, it's like 70% iPhone users. So even if this never happened to Huawei, they're still quite obscure here.

China people can claim that assumption too.

And i'm not even chinese, but about this ban issue, i'll stand with China.
