The manufacturers only came with smarter nemes for this crappy thing: super, amo .... Marketing stuff.
But if you usualy change your phone at least once a year then you don't have to worry abiut these problems.

But what do you do with the colour tinting and the brightness dimming?
The solution is to pay another 4-500 bucks and buy another phone with the crappy oled. And the manufacturer will prosper. :)))

Please, we want a phone that can last long for a year or two. We are not those youtubers who are complaining about not having an AMOLED screen. They change their phone every month so they cannot experience screen burn.
If they put an IPS display on a phone it should have a huge battery capacity 4000mah at least or a huge 5000 mah just like the zenfone 6.

Budi, 26 May 2019Why? isnt that good we get oled in midrange? oled is not lu... moreI don't care for those perfect blacks you mentioned and i can assure you that when you are reading and plsting on gsmarena with it's white background your crapy oled screen is sucking more ppwer than an LCD, and if you are in daylight and use full brightness you risk some burn ins in the upper part of the screen.
So for those should I pay the extra money? I prefer a cheaper and decent LCD.

Most manufactures can make their own oled now not just samsung and LG, though it may have less/cheap quality but still we get the perfect blacks for better battery life.

So i can't blame Xiaomi for this choice. If they removed the 3.5mm jack, that's another story.
