Xiaomi didn't have Playstore or Google apps in the beginning. People had to side load them.
If we can do the same with the new OS I don't think it would be a problem.
Just like installing Windows when selling a PC, most sellers will side load the Google apps during the sale.

The name has nothing to do with "red dream". it is just a homonym, and strictly the tone is actually different knowing that Chinese is a tonal language.
For me it more sounds like Grand something.

Huawei is not known for by a powerful, fluid OS.
Lenevo OS failed.
Samsung OS failed.
Firefox OS failed.
And many more.
I can't wait for this to get into the hands of reviewers.

The data "income" does make a significant impact on Google where Google needs this data to make business. So it does matter to Google.

I think they don't have time to add the new nickname & skin of the ArkOS so they will sell their devices as Hongmeng (OS used in China) & later you can download the new OS.
Finally I will use a phone without a useless apps from Google (Maps is important) FB etc.. and I will have enough space & gigs of rams.

Though sideloading GApps is not going to appeal to most people so that's not suitable for a mass-market device (Amazon Fire Phone never got very popular, and the current Fire Tablets are very niche, so it's OK). You must always think about what that dumb crowd want if you want to sell a lot.

If anyone wants, they can easily side-load the desired gapps (google apps). I used to do that on my Amazon Fire Phone back in 2014-15.

I'm highly sceptical about it. Without a plan for devs and other OEM support, this is DOA.
