Unless you think Android is "unfinished."

Excellent can’t wait to see this take over Google’s Android.

I think Ark OS might be the final name for the international version, while HongMeng will be used in mainland China.

It remains to be seen whether it is a new linux based OS with android app compatibility or a fork of Android (akin to what the Nokia X family had).

Why do they keep insisting on Canada is beyond me. They barely sell anything here! And you'd think the CFO extradition saga that's still ongoing would make them hate Canada...

And dang it, another Android fork. Woo. They aren't their own thing yet they will be limited by the lack of Play Services since apps and Android features depend on it. Yes the report only mentions Android apps compatibility but they couldn't have come up with an Android bridge so quickly, which means it's an Android fork.

Also I don't see the point in "shipping" 1M phones with an unfinished OS. If you want to beta test, 1k is much more than enough.

ThanosOnTheHouse, 11 Jun 2019Now Google may be in trouble. if your not a developer and never upload any apps and games from play store then stop talking trouble with google. you don't know anything about android if you don't develop nor program an apps and games on android world.

Yeeeeah, naming your OS "red dream" sure makes it insuspicious that your company has the CCP in its pocket right?

[deleted post]I don't think they are being racist, they're just honest. It's no secret that people get repelled from Chinese sounding products (even OS).

Now Google may be in trouble.

                      Doa... Hehehe
