Only a proffesional cameras such as Canon EOS-1D X Mark II or Nikon Z6 etc are better,
Sony is just average brand with a premium prices on everything.

If the make a phone with this camera ormake a that kind of camera with working android and SD855 or newer, 12GB ram, 1TB storage and at least 10K mAh battery it would be awesome.

Another possiblity is do triple the XZ2 setup by doing Wide + mono, Ultra Wide + mono and Tele + mono. So the Ultra High Sensitivity could for for all focal lengths.

I'm a big fan of Nokia but I don't mind Sony taking inspiration, they are good with cameras too, and I've only used the Xperia Tipo but I love the design of Sony phones, they are also unique, e.g. Xperia SP.

If you never saw Nokia 9 pureview bokeh effect photos and other nokia 9 photos dont say they are equal to any other flagship.
Nokia 9 uses special sensors and a special program made by Nokia 9 only which takes good 10 seconds to capture and load the photo but the final effect is far beyound any current flagship.
By the way Nokia 9 have 6 cameras if we include telephoto. 3 monochrome and 2 colour but article says its a 5 camera setup.
Even a telephoto stands for a camera so it counts.

(OK my body's ready for everything after that monstrous Nokia abomination. Though the design elements of it still whisper of the legendary Finnish company -- in my view. Same as their first "new" lineup, some newer ones and the current ultra-budget offerings. Imho Nokia 3, 5, 6, 8, 1, 2, 6.1, 7, 7+, 8 Sirocco (to an extent), 2.1, 3.1, 5.1, 1+, 3.1+ and 9 do smell like the legendary Nokia many dearly miss. Other phones -- your average Chinese "meh". Sorry for the offtop :D too lazy to wait for an appropriate moment haha)

But inconsistency between camera versatility will appear (only main camera got the monochrome benefits). As for me, i dont mind with that.

The 34:9 highway phone upcoming. The longer version of their giraffe phones. With a longer hump of the ugly Apple off-center version of the nice Mate 20 one too.

Huh ! Tell the Sony that...instead of using 6 camera...it’s better to use 1/2 inches or 1 inche camera sensor...which will produce much cleaner and detailed high ISO images than 6 camera...Nokia 9 also used 6 cameras but Lowlight image quality at high ISO is worst ever...

i dont understand what so much about this, Sony make the sensors but their department of software need to be changed.
Sony phones are good, but their camera app is a disaster, noisy pictures, grainy as f***...no wonder why i stop buying Sony phones for long.
so, they can put as much as 10/15 or more, if they dont improve software then is just gimmick.

With those camera amount, maybe additional TOF & monochrome, or even a different Xperia flagship series that follows Light/Nokia 9 style.
If things done right, it'll be great. Looks like Sony has brighter future since Xperia 1 released. Surprise us Sony!
