AnonD-10196, 03 Feb 2012Why do you need replaceable battery? Do you carry a seconda... moreIt not like you use entire battery of your phone and u take off the battery and put the fully charged one.
the main point here is what if the battery gets damaged?
You'll have to replace your existing phone with new one as there is no provision for battery replacement. In normal phone I have had battery replaced as battery stopped working and giving full power even after charging it to the fullest.
This is what the concern is.

Chidi, 03 Feb 2012One more thing that is needed in wp8 is replaceable battery. Why do you need replaceable battery? Do you carry a secondary one with you? I've had many smartphones untill now and none needed a spare battery. All got me through the day with internet usage, music, instant messaging, messaging, and all stuff like that. why do you need a replaceable battery? Just pure curiosity!

"It will remain a separate, optional app but once installed will provide much deeper integration compared to other platforms, to the point where regular and Skype calls will be indistinguishable." = Maemo and N900. Tks Nokia... i'm so sad Maemo is gone... years ahead of it's time...

(In case you're too dumb to see the relevance of this, all Windows viruses, trojans, etc. are written for the x86/x64 CPUs, in other words Intel and AMD. They will NOT run on ARM processors, so ha.

Ok if it is really true that Windows Phone 8 will also share the same kernel as Windows 8 then look out!!! VIRUSES, TROJANS, WORMS AHEAD!!! You gotta install ANTIVIRUS software on your Mobile Phone!!! LOL!

                                      Let's see now:
                                      Multi core - check
                                      NFC - check
                                      Skype - check

Looks like they have all the bases covered. If it really is based on Win8 desktop's kernel (i.e. support desktop apps natively) it will blow the competition outta the water!!

I'm really looking forward to this.
                                      My only question now is:
WILL they upgrade the Lumia 800/710 when it comes???

amazing stuff! i mean win 7 apps won't work perfectly on tango devices coz they were not touch optemized, but win 8 will have tons of apps in no time and many will be touch optimized as well,, what i liked too is that microsoft started behaving like microsoft and stopped copying apple with the zune/itunes needed for installing apps or viewing files, and finally allowing micro SD support, and now we xinally can get multi-cores and bigger ram, not they're actually needed but that u can buy a dual X 1.5 ghz android for the same price of a single core WP (with an old gpu) which feels stupid if u ask me! seems that we're heading back to microsoft monopoli on pc world, although apple will still have their fans if they can add big stuff like true multitasking... but adroid seem on their way down from this year and on!
