I would happily use in-display fingerprint scanner as long as I can keep good size bezel where the the bottom front facing scanner used to be. The scanner being under the display is just so it can be positioned higher. But to be honest I would prefer a side-mounted one merged with the power button (pre-Xperia 1 devices).
Yes, I need my bezels. Don't want to sacrifice SoC, Storage, etc just to have a sensible bezel to hold on to.

Under-display FP scanner is cool. FP scanner at the back is fast. Any way, not a big deal for me. I don't buy phone just for FP scanner.

Someone has to explain to me why under display FP scanner is better than the standard on the back one? if the only reason is "because we must push technologic limitations forward" then that same can be said about the back scanner.
As far as I know in display scanners tend to damage the screen over time so the only advantage I see to it would be forcing you to replace your phone earlier.

I put my right thumb in twice because I'm right handed, so the unlock is generally pretty speedy. Not as fast as a normal sensor of course but still usable.
Also my friends and colleagues frequently ask what phone I have mostly due to the either the cameras or the underscreen FP sensor. It's a cool party trick but it's actually useful. Being able to unlock and use the phone with one grip is such a great feature, my friend with an S10 prefers the sensor being higher.
tl;dr don't listen to this guy, under screen FP is pretty useful and actually a good direction for technology in my opinion.

And your upset that your now a tester of the newer in display scanner that will be equally fast or even faster which you will eventually accept as normal in the future

It's more expensive than rear or side mounted, less accurate and slower. I don't understand why this is seen as a cool technology.

This makes me very excited. Even though OLED will eventually reach all prices ranges sometime in the future, it's nice to know budget phones will get a taste of under-display fingerprint scanners.
As for the quality of these fingerprint scanners, that's to be seen, but as time goes on, like all technology, they will slowly improve. Even if they aren't very good, they can push software updates to improve it, like Samsung does with their S10 series.
(Does anyone think this feature could possibly come to the Moto G series?)

Under display FP scanners are crap. Few days with my Mate 20 Pro and I already miss having a FP scanner on the back where it belongs. It's not slow by any means but I don't like it.
