Sony Xperia J8010 "Sphinx" gets closer to launch, international firmware spotted

From what I gathered from lots of sources, Sony Mobile used to work XZ3's successor in XZ4 moniker, that will look like XZ3 but with a dual camera on the back taken from XZ2 Premium's configuration and dual selfie camera as well for a year.

    But during XZ4 R&D is on progress, Kaz Hirai steps down and Kenichiro Yoshida steps up, and Kimio Maki moved to Mobile Division's President. Under his authorization, he canceled the XZ4 project and decided to start everything from scratch. One of Kimio Maki's biggest challenge is bringing back at Sony fans again after XZ2 and XZ3 disappointed a lot of fans. So, he decided to jump to work on Xperia XZ2 Premium spiritual successor instead without any additional XZ3 spiritual successor, and that what brings us Xperia 1, the heir of Xperia Premium family and the halo flagship of Xperia (just like Mate for Huawei, Note for Samsung, V for LG, Mi Mix for Xiaomi). Xperia Premium family usually released in June/July (except Z5P on November), while vanilla Xperia released on April & October.

    And because of Xperia 1, the only Sony smartphone currently rock on 2019 Snapdragon high-end chipset, and usually at least Sony has 2/3 smartphones rocking on top-of-the-line SD chipset, as well the vacuum place of Sony vanilla/normal flagship / XZ3 successor for April slot and this has been almost a year since XZ3 launched, so the upcoming XZ3's spiritual successor, named Xperia 2, should take the vanilla Xperia October slot instead. So, Xperia 2 is the true successor to XZ3, not Xperia 1. And for J8010 itself, it's gonna be Xperia 1 with 5G connectivity, like S10+ and S10 5G did.

That’s why no other brand is interested in 4K, as its just a gigantic gimmick.

            If you were an Audiophile, then you'd know that speakers should never be faced in a parallel, front facing position as it degrades the sound quality. Speakers should be offset.

            Look at the 2012 styling of the XZ Premium, same as the Z1, very outdated and primitive. Also, that model was plagued with design faults.

              Just because it's older it doesn't mean it's worse or outdated.

                I only said mechanical parts are not the way to go and that bezels are practical on a phone because you need space for all the sensors and front facing stuff that's important on a phone.

                  Xperia1 has 6mm bezels, which is huge for a 2019 flagship phone, in fact, the largest in its class. It’s a weird candy bar design.
                  The Trend or fashion of 2019, and what the people want is full screen display, not 2014 large design bezels.
                  You can hold the phone on its sides. Top side, bottom side, left side, right side. You have an outdated model phone with gigantic bezels called the XZ Premium, so your opinion is obviously totally biased.

                            Designs of phones have had some interesting changes this year as all screen display is the rage. So, in fact, changing camera locations in in fact design changes. Having the option of the great rear camera for selfies with a flash is amazing.
                            You talk about bezels a lot, perhaps your a gamer. But in 2019, its all about no bezels and this is another area where Sony fails.

                              You speak about Sony? You are a joke! Sony is following the awful no bezel trend as well. At least they don't have the awful notch but still the same nonetheless.

                              In all your posts you are trolling Sony. Having nothing constructive to add to the conversation. Just like last time with the camera, I will prove you wrong again..
                              So yeah phones are indeed looking the same up front with really small to none differences.., what else you got?

What about new designs with rotating cameras, pop ups and shark fin cameras ? Designs are constantly changing. Only Sony is stuck in copy pasted phone design.
