you said COMMUN... moreWell , Can you please elaborate, except from the browser and internet browsing experience , where does the N8 lag from your aforementioned "Smartphones"?
I can play games, connect to my HDTV at home, connect my external HDD to my N8 for transferring files and playing DIVX and XVID movies in HD quality. It has a best camera.
I am using MS communicator to connect flawlessly to my office exchange server and the push-email facility works great.....
I can also connect to Microsoft Lync which is deeply integrated.
I can play any possible codec of music files and the sound quality is awesome(look into GSMArena)...
It has a proper task manager and a proper file manager since before Android was conceptualized..
I am able to use USB and Wifi-tethering...
It has proper FM radio, proper online radio, proper Video calling over WCDMA network.
Tell me another phone in Android which can do all these and then I will definitely tell that N8 is a looser....

Sgs2 The signal receiver is so poor... Yes the super amoled was amazing, but the camera is suck... I don't know why everything about symbian or nokia in gsm arena has alot of comments from u all android fans? Why don't you change u'r name become symbian fanboy....LOL

you said COMMUNICATE, probably you should know that in today's world COMMUNICATE is an elaborated term rather than just making CALLS. understand there is difference between communicating via a smartphone and making a call has difference.
If you insist on having a PHONE only, then there are better choices in nokia. i think we are discussing about SMARTPHONE and its capabilities.
Be it a merc, BMW, or a dodge.. if you dont know how to use it, you term it as TOY.
I shall never, ever deny someone's personal choice. at the same time, make a point that if something is your choice, that doesnot make it best of all, its only best for you.

i have always used nokia and the brand is very popular here in the Philippines but, samsung has taken over recently i bought several samsung devices and was shocked at their poor costumer service, no one can ever beat nokia in everything now i swtiched to htc with the sensation xe for my smart and nokia n8 which was just upgraded to belle yesterday for my sun.
i can truly say that after you bought your device, you're in good hands with nokia.

nokia is always gonna be the best in everything,they jst need to be more innovative,quuad cores,dual cores,nd gpu's doesnt matter,all thats is important is how useful a phone is to the user. only if nokia had patented enuf lyk apple they wouldnt be in shit today.

The Nokia N8 loses out when it comes to 3G cellular calling. 3G calling last a lot less than Galaxy Nexus, Droid Razr, Sensation 4G, Galaxy SII. All of those phones sports dual core processing, and larger screens, and higher resolution which all eats up battery so at the end of the day, if you made a lot of calls, your N8 won't allow you to make any more calls because it'll be dead.

Nokia in early 2011 were selling 270,000 symbian smartfones a day but dont know the figure now..Obviously thats dropped in numbers just like Elop should be dropped by Nokia,,ha..Symbian has got new life and he should of NOT made that stupid burnung platform remark stupid git.

My point is....at the end of the day I need a "PHONE" by which i can "COMMUNICATE" or "MAKE A CALL" if you can understand what the words in uppercase means....
If I want a toy-gadget..yes I would buy a Android....I have also done so, and that is just another TOY...
It is the same with cars... if you want a reliable, understated car, you buy a Toyota or a Honda or a BMW or Merc or VW-Audi......but if you want a toy, you can buy an American Muscle car like a Dodge Challenger or in similar lines.......will make more noise, totally impractical and will probably end in a tree when going around a corner.....
Personal choice mate!!! :P

Gameloft & Co. Still develop for Symbian, they were just waiting on Nokia Belle to be on all devices... Nokia even gave out free Nokia 701 & Lumia 800 to developers all over the world, Adventures Of Tin Tin HD was first released on Symbian Belle before iOS & Android, so get your facts right, Nokia Belle broke compatibility in some apps & the developers had no other option than to wait.. I have over 20 HD games on my Nokia 701, you won't find most of them on Nokia Store, dig thru the internet a bit & you'll be happy u did.

that said if i was gameloft, (unbiasedly) i would not only consider the 70 mil users which you have quoted,instead i take the % of market share and the growth/lose of the share over 2-3 years. to ensure my investment is worth
does symbian have enough share to support? i leave this to you, you should already know that.
