Anonymous, 10 Feb 2012just try meego and you will forget android...
except you n... moreWhy can't you get in your thick skull that you actually can run Adroid apps in a MeeGo phone with at least the same performance as on an Android device? There is the Myriad Alien Dalvik engine that makes all of this possible.
The difference between Android and MeeGo is that you have a better ecosystem for developing low-level apps on the device than Android. This ecosystem is called Qt which actually compiles the code to binary and is also available for Linux, Solaris, BSD and windows. That way way it is easy to achieve cross-platform capabilities without the loss of performance you have in virtual-machine applications such as Dalvik and Java.

Even in Android I... morethe N9 is not for hipsters (which US is full of nowadays) or practical people.... it is for purists.....and they dont need 1 million apps...the basics are covered and you can spend 2-3 years with that perfectly well....

probably gonna get an N9 when/if this port becomes available and stable , Nokia's biggest mistake was that they didn't choose Android as their primary OS , WP7 is so far behind the mighty DROID in terms of hardware , performance and user experience
