Huawei's filed for another trademark for an OS - Harmony

The name joins Ark as a potential moniker for the in-house HongMeng OS to replace Android and Windows, should the need arise.

So, yes Trump made a huge part in making Huawei go full speed with the development of their new OS/OS that was started years ago.

            Damn awesome and even better is the big competition vs Google/US it will bring thx to Trumpy boy, he really did a good job here :-)

            But anyway it will be cool for trying some new stuff and as we all knows, competition is good for all of us customers... So bring it on baby.

                  Still sceptical about it and it's bold claims and it's release date. Unless they just forked Android. Which seems very likely.

                  Harmony... They said HongMeng would be working on all kinds of stuff. Could be a "Harmonysed" Huawei environment. Likewise Android can already work almost anywhere. Already had the fun to see literally PoS devices with Android. Though it got concerning when I saw the nav bar. Clearly using Android Lollipop!!!! Or Marshmallow. Anyway, when you put it like that, you see that Harmony/HongMeng/ARK/Oak is very likely to just be an Android port.

                  But they'll probably start selling all this kind of stuff under the same brand, thus Harmony. And have partnerships with IoT companies, probably just in China for the foreseeable future.

                    Please use only one name, it will confuse people
